"Nathan didn't I just confessed to you my fear, and now you're already trying to kill me on the first date!" At this very moment, Nat was dragging me towards the biggest rollercoaster at the damn boardwalk.

He was laughing hard as he gotten us in line. Good thing the line was long, so I have time to run away.

"C'mon sunshine." He pulled out the lip. "For me."

"You ain't special."

He put his hands over his chest and feigned false hurt. "You break my heart."

While my hands were free, I attempted to make my run for it, but he must've read my mind and grabbed my hand, pulling me closer to him. He smiled, "I guess I should hold you, so I can make sure you don't get away." He pulled me in front of him and wrapped his arms around my waist, snuggling his head on top of mine.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."

He must've felt the shivers from my body, probably thinking it was because of the rollercoaster as he snuggled closer. It was because he was so close. We were getting closer in line and the nerves started to bounce more.

"How about we play a game?" I looked up as his chin still rested on the top of my head. "You know, to take away some of that tension." He suggested.

"Sure, what do you suggest?"

"20 questions."

I rolled my eyes. Of course.

"Woah, no." His eyes widen. "I'm not talking about the kind where you ask what's my favorite color, I say triangle, and then ask if you are a virgin." He snickered. "I really want to get to know you, sunshine."

"Mmm. You first."

We make our way pass the checker after showing our wristbands then get set up in the seats.

He look into my eyes and asked, "What went on in that cute big head of yours when you first saw me?" He bit his lip.

The instructor was doing the countdown.

"Want me to be honest?" He nodded as he held my hand. "Okay, I'll be honest. I thought you were sexy as helllllllllllllllllllllllll." The air carried the rest of my words as the rollercoaster roared and ran with the sun. I firmly gripped his hand harder and screamed my lungs out. He just giggled and yelled as he saw the faces I would make.

At that time, all I could think was that my hair was going to be fucked up for the rest of the day.

In the midst of our ride, I took notice of my handsome date. Both of his hands reached for the sky as his long gone manbun was now his crazy, blonde curls flying into the wind. His muscles flexed through his black muscle shirt and his Adam's apple bobbed. Laugh lines decorated his facial structure and his pink lips separated multiple time, screaming different words. His eyes sparkled with adrenaline.

Damn.

From up here, you could see the view of the whole area, and it made me feel like I was on top of the world. Everyone on the ride had not a care in the world.

In the first row ahead of us, I could see a woman holding on top of her head. The next thing I knew, her braids were on display as the wig flew quickly towards our direction.

It slapped Nathan in the face. He panicked. He was able to get it off, and my ass just about died on the coaster. Oh my god.

Thank god I didn't wear one today.

◇◇◇◇

I was trying so desperately to catch up to him as he stormed off with a crimson red face.

"Ahhhhhh." I laughed. "I'm.....so..I can't....Nathan, wait." I was huffing as I grabbed a tomato looking Nathan. "Nathan, it could've happened to anyone." I tried to stuff a giggle down my throat.

"So...you're saying that everybody gets pimpslapped by wigs every time they ride a rollercoaster?" I giggled. "Yeah, I thought so."

He walked on then I stop him with a hug. "Let's look on the bright side," I shrugged. "I got over my fear." I could feel him grow irritated as he felt me shaking from laughter in his back. "Okay, let's move on."

He rolled his eyes. "You're probably never going to let this go."

I wrapped my arm with his. "Your probably right."

I grinned.

We continued on. He saw this water slide ride, and I could tell the water flies everywhere. He gave one look at me and in return I gave him a side eye. "I guess we'll go on that next time. Remind me to bring you a water cap."

He pulled me along to a marigold ride that had cars as the look of the seats. We got strapped in, and we were the only adults as we looked around to see little kids join us.

"Question number 2: What's up with you asking me, a complete stranger, on a date within the first weeks of the semester?"

He looked at me. "To be honest, I was attracted to your looks, and I thought you were insanely cute." He shrugged. "Then I gotten to see your personality and well, you're still hot. It's a win-win."

"Wow." I chuckled. "Well, I hope that wig don't follow you for the rest of the night."

He deadpanned as the ride was a go.

The marigold slowly started then increased its speed the longer we were on. We were going so fast in circles that I almost got whiplash. Nat and I laughed as we were getting dizzier by the minute. Soon the ride came to a stop.

As we got off, Nathan unvoluntary start falling in a direction, and he hit a pole. My ass just bumped into someone. I apologized when I realized it was the woman who lost her wig. I tried my hardest not to burst out laughing on the spot when it looked like she found it and put it on backwards.

I decided to collect Nathan and make sure he was okay.

"That was fun!". I squatted down to a sitting Nat rubbing his forehead. "Looks like the poor baby hurt himself." I giggled.

"Ugh." Then he smirked. "How about you kiss it sunshine. Maybe I'll feel better. "

As I helped him up, I kissed his forehead. "Feel better now?"

A blush crept up upon his cheeks. "Yes." He smiled and I pulled him off to some more rides. He won me a few stuffed animals, and we ate cotton candy, corn dogs, and any other carnival food we could stuff down. We spent the rest off the night together, and I could stay it was the most fun I had in a while.

He probably will be terrified of wigs for the rest of his life.

"My turn." Nathan turned to me as he turned the steering wheel. "Am I the first white guy you went on a date with?" He snickered.

"I don't discriminate, but yes. When I did like a white boy, I'll be like he couldn't handle this ass and then keep it moving." I shrugged.

"So...you're saying that I can handle 'that ass'?" He winked.

"Eh...no. When you ask, I was like let me give the poor boy a chance." I wave him off in dismissal.

"Whatever."

"Okay hotshot, am I the only black girl you went on a date with?" I crossed my arms over my torso.

He smirked and glanced at me. "All I can say is that I don't discriminate." I scoffed and pushed his shoulder playfully. We laughed and settled into yet another comfortable silence as we took the ride.

"In all seriousness sunshine, I had a great time." He wrapped his arms around me after he parked the car. "We haven't finished our game. Maybe we can on our next date."

"Next date?"

He nodded. "You can't get rid of me now," He shrugged. "So you might as well accept."

I reached for my door handle, but turned and kissed him on the cheek. "We'll see." I stepped out the car and bent down in his window for my last words. "Goodnight, wigboy."

He grinned.

"Goodnight, Sunshine."
