It was the end of the school day and the day of the houseparty at Zack's friend's house. Honestly, you wanted to sleep in, but your mom had called you that morning insisting on you being out and doing things.

"D, I'm not gonna walk with you home. I'm getting ready at Mira's." You stated side by side eating one of your favorite snacks.

"Oh? I thought she wasn't coming to the houseparty, same with you." Daniel countered as you reached the gates. You sigh at the thought of it.

"She forced me because she didn't want to go alone and Mira wants to watch Zack," You wipe your fake tears, "But I'll text you the address so we can walk there together."

"Are you sure you'll be alright? It gets dangerous.." Daniel asked hesitant on leaving you at the school gates.

"What? Yes. You know me. Ish. Go, go." You insisted as Mira approached. Daniel sighed & walked alone. Not really alone more like with a bunch of groupies.

"Y/N! Did I keep you waiting? Zack took a while and he wanted us to walk together." Mira explained waving you down.

"Hm? Nah. Let's get going before we miss our ride." You said.

Zack behind her mouthed a bunch of words you couldn't understand. You looked at him curiously before he shook his head and walked with his friends.

... Was he trying to tell me to get some intel.. He's not speaking Jayenease I don't understand </3.

"Okay! Makeup and hair done!" She exclaimed. You looked in the mirror curiously before you felt the sweat drop.

Why is my eyebrow in three different directions? I should've just insisted on natural beauties...

Mira spent most of her time on your hair making sure she used the right products so that your H/L H/C hair was styled in a way many hadn't seen you in before. She added clips to your hair and focused on showing length and shine.

Your E/C eyes popped with a light eyeshadow and a subtle shimmer. Your eyeliner & lashes highlighted your eyes making it appear larger and brighter. She really, really hid those eyebags.

"Why did this take you so long to do?" You sighed staring at yourself in front of the vanity.

"Beauty takes time!" Mira teased smacking your arm lightly. She's the only person you allowed to hit you as long it was playfully. Lucky her. You smiled at her and shifted your eyes away from her slightly hiding the red cheeks you gained because of her.

"How long will it take you to do your makeup?"
"Um...."

"This dress is the one! No, this one! But this one.." Mira threw around clothes trying to find you the perfect dress. You didn't even bother helping, you just stayed on your phone as she struggled.
