"Playing against new rookie L/N Y/N is returning champion, Chang Sunae. She is 17 years old, having won 10 competitions in the past 2-3 years. Score currently is 21-17, L/N is leading."

Chang looked at Y/N with determined, confident eyes. Sunae grinned dribbling as you stayed in a defense position. She towered over you; at least standing at 5'9 or higher.

"I wasn't going easy on you since you're new, you know." Chang says.

"You shouldn't hold back on me." You cockily say snatching the ball from the distracted player & dribbling past her to your hoop.

You heard your friends, your dad– the whole fucking crowd cheering and whistling. It felt like the world was watching you as you stopped in your tracks to shoot. You dribbled the ball more, trying to strategize when Chang reappeared in front of you.

Chang faked a left, diving the ball through your legs and running to her side. Your move. While she ran, she crashed into your right arm making sure you won't get in the way.

"Call it" The referee called as she shot the hoop and air balling it, "Foul on Chang!"

"What?! I didn't even hit her!" She argued as medics came to your aid, your dad and friends rushing over to the court. A crowd drew over your as your groaned and held your arm tightly.

"Don't lie! We saw you crash her arm!" A fan called as everyone yelled in frustration and agreement.

"Down with Chang!" Someone chanted and repeated. Next thing you know, everyone chanted along.

"She's always been known for cheating. Trust me. Chang is competitive and will do anything to win." A manager said as she supported you up.

You ignored the entire thing and focused as a medic guided you. You were sent to the hospital for immediate treatment, but you wondered. How far was she willing to go?

"Latest & most popular rookie: L/N Y/N played on the court today! She is now currently being hospitalized after Chang Sunae, rookie for the Jaguars, smashed into her right arm."

You snapped off the TV as the doctor walked in.

"You should be able to take off the cast within the next 2 to 3 weeks. It could've been a lot worse, but luckily, it's only minor" The doctor explained as you nodded along.

"I'll leave you with your visitors" He said leaving the room as you watched her in confusion. What visitors-

"Y/N! Are you okay?! My sweet child, I'm so sorry." Your dad sat next to you as you smiled, holdin his hand.

"I'm fine, it's supposed to come off in about two weeks!" You smiled as everyone packed in and stared at you worried, "Okay, what's wrong?"

"You got injured on your first game, should you still even play?" Mira says as your eyes turned angry.

"Of course, it's my passion. I'm not giving up on because of a stupid injury!" You argued as Daniel looked at you sadly, "It's that damn benches fault! Not the sport, the bench in the court."
