"What happened last night?" Miley asked, as if she was still in disbelief.

She looked at Brian, who seemed to have been lost for words. He shook his head.

"I--I don't know." He replied afterwards.

Miley then received a text from Chloe.

I'm omw

"Was that Aiden or Chloe?"

"Chloe." She replied. "She's on her way."

Brian responded by nodding. She placed her phone on the table, before running her fingers through her hair.

"Have you heard from Aiden?" Brian asked.

Miley shook her head. "Not after last night."

She then focused her gaze on Lana, who was further across the cafeteria from her. Brian realized and turned around to look at her as well. She was around a group of her friends having lunch; chatting and laughing.

Brian then turned back around to face Miley.

"What are we going to do?"  He asked.

Miley sighed. "I don't know but--"

"Lana!" someone shouted from the entrance of the cafeteria.

Everyone turned to where the voice came from. Miley and Brian realized that it was Aiden. Their eyes were wide open.

Aiden spotted Lana, then made his way over to her. He was furious. Everyone was looking at him, including Lana, who watched as he approached her.

"Aiden, hey--" Lana said.

"Don't--" He silenced her. "--where is he?"

Lana looked confused. "I--I don't know what you're talking about Aiden."

He pointed a finger at her, then pulled back; infuriated by what he was about to say. He sighed heavily.

"Don't--play dumb with me Lana. Where is he?"

Lana didn't respond.

"Where is he? Where's Jason?!"

17 hours earlier

Lana is here, at Rose Café

Miley bit down on her lip, wondering what her next move was going to be. She then turned back to her parents.

"Ah--I have to go."

"Where?" Her father asked.

"Chloe, she--needs help with this thing." She lied.

"Does this thing have a name?" Her mother interjected.

She then remembered that Chloe had a Biology class project doing.

"Her project--she really needs help with it. She's at Rose Café."

Her parents both gave her a look.

"I'll be back before 10--I promise."

"9:30." Her father stated.

"Deal." She replied before leaving the house.

"Be careful!" Her mother shouted out.

She ran down the steps at the front of the house then got into her car. Before driving off, she called Aiden.

"Hey." He answered quickly.

"Hey, ah--"

"I'm guessing you got the text from Chloe." He half-asked half-stated.
