Brian walked down the halls in search for the classroom Miley told him to meet her and the others in. It was early in the morning, around 8am. The bell for homeroom hasn't rung yet so the halls were not crowded, and classrooms were basically empty. He made a quick left around a corner and walked a few more steps until he found the classroom. Room 412. He pushed the door and was greeted by Miley, Aiden, Jason and Chloe. He then closed it; as it was before.
"What's going on?" he observed everyone's expressions.
Miley got up from her seat, and Brian stood by the door. "OK," she started. "I wanted to tell you this when everyone was here."
"OK. What's up?"
"I got a message last night--"
"Wait, what?" Aiden interjected, getting up out of his seat.
"Aiden," she said his name assuringly, trying to calm him down. His eyes were still on her, but he remained quiet.
She continued, "I got a message from someone by the name of Mason Wellington."
Everyone looked confused.
"Who's Mason Wellington?" Aiden asked.
"That's the thing. Mason Wellington's real name is Mason Tibet."
"What?" Chloe was in disbelief. "How do you know that?"
"He told me."
"That's impossible," Aiden interjected. "That's impossible right?"
"I don't know. I didn't believe him at first, but then he mentioned my father's name, and he knows about Adam--"
"Mason Tibet? As in--"
"My half-brother," Miley finished Chloe's sentence. "Which is crazy to even think about."
"We're not buying this story though, right?" Aiden approached her.
"I don't know. If it's true, then that means my father had another child with someone else."
"Did you say anything to him?" Chloe asked.
"To my dad?" Miley inquired and she nodded. "No, I haven't. I wouldn't know the first thing to say."
"So what does this Mason want?" Jason asked.
"He wants to meet me."
Aiden started shaking his head.
"Aiden--" Jason stood from his seat.
"No," he turned to him with a pointed finger. "We can't trust him."
"How can you say that?" Chloe butted in. "We don't even know who he is."
"That's exactly my point. He could be anybody." He then faced Miley, "This could be a trap for that psycho to lure you to him--"
"Was the message sent from the email?" Brian asked.
"No. It was a DM on Pictorium," she immediately took her phone out and went on the app. "He looks just like Adam when he was younger."
Aiden was the first to take ahold of the phone. Mason only had three pictures posted. He could pass as Miley's twin. The resemblance was spot on. His blue eyes resembled those of Miley's, and the same dirty blonde hair as hers, Adam's and Jack's.
"He does look like you," Brian said when he got the phone next.
"I still don't think it's a good idea," Aiden stated.
Miley ran her hand on his arm.
"Where's he from?" Jason asked.
"Rockbridge."
