Susan Tibet [Miley's mother] was on her way to Redwood University when she got a phone call from her brother Charlie. She had one of those cars where the radio had a Bluetooth so she connected her phone to it.

"Charlie--" She answered.

"Hey Susan." He greeted. "Are you busy?"

She then approached a stoplight on red.

"Not really. I'm on my way to RU."

"What for?" He asked.

"I'm joining the faculty there as a Med lecturer."

"Susan that's amazing!"

She smiled.

"I know you've been so homebound since Adam went missing. I'm glad you're back on a job."

The light changed to green and she waited for the car in front of her to drive off before she did.

"Yeah. It gets so lonely at home when Miley's at school and Jack's at work."

"Yeah yeah I totally get you." He responded. "Well I'm glad you're doing OK."

"Yes I am." She confirmed.

"Alright. I'll be visiting some time this week when I'm done with a case."

"OK. Take care."

"You too."

He then hung up, and she continued on her way to the university, which was only a few minutes away.

                                           _

Gina McIntyre [Lana Banks' mother] stayed home for a few days ever since Miley and Aiden visited her. She was able to get someone to supervise the bookstore while she was home. She was constantly being reminded of her daughter's death, and the possibility of Adam being involved made it even harder to cope.

The funeral was scheduled to take place next week in a church and she also had that to plan for. But she took each day step by step, as most days she would just sit on her verandah and stare into space for hours.

"So what do you think?" Malcolm Rowe [Lana Rowe's father] asked as he took a sip of his drink. He was at one of his favourite fancy bars that he owned.

"I think we are on the right track." His wife, Dianna Rowe [Lana Rowe's mother] smirked. "Things are only going to get better."

He slowly nodded in agreement. "And Lana?"

"She'll come around. She's very stubborn but, she'll realise that we're doing this for her."

Malcolm nodded once more before his phone rang. He took it up from the counter and answered it.

"Yes--"

"We have a problem." The person on the other end informed.

"What is it?" He asked bitterly.

"We may have a tail on us."

He scoffed. "Then get rid of them--by any means necessary."

"Yes sir."

Malcolm then hung up. Dianna then studied his expression.

"Is everything OK?" She asked.

He looked at her, then smirked. "Everything's fine darling." He assured her before taking another sip of his drink.
