It was the following day; 8:50am. The bell rang, signaling everyone to head inside for first period. Aiden walked towards his locker; lost in thoughts. He hardly got any sleep last night after what happened. He entered the combination into his locker before opening it.
"Aiden." A voice called out to him.
He looked to the side to see who it was. He half-smiled when he realised that it was Miley.
"Hey," he simply responded. He faced her when she got closer and lightly kissed her on her lips.
"Hi. I was waiting for you last night."
"Yeah--" He started before facing his locker again. "--I--left Jason's house pretty late. I forgot to call you."
She nodded before straightening her bag on her shoulders. She then moved closer towards him and looked him in his eyes.
"Did you sleep OK last night?" She inquired, examining the redness in his eyes.
He sighed.
"Are you OK?"
"Yeah I'm fine." He then closed his locker. "I just need to get to class."
She hesitantly nodded. "OK."
He then faintly smiled at her before walking away. He headed to class where he met Lana on the way. She had a sad expression on her face but it was hard to pinpoint why. She glanced at Aiden before looking straight ahead; trying to avoid him.
"Lana." He stepped in front of her.
She sighed in annoyance before stopping. "What is it?"
He examined the redness in her eyes. "You--you were crying--"
She rolled her eyes at him. "I'd say the same thing to you."
"No I--I didn't get enough sleep last night."
"What is it Aiden?"
"What's going on?"
"Nothing." She quickly snapped. "I need to get to class."
"You can stop pretending like nothing is going on."
"You wouldn't understand." She tried to walk around him but he blocked her.
"Then help me to understand---please."
"Aiden---I need to get--to class." She slowly stated, which made him exhale deeply before stepping aside, allowing her to walk away.

"Brian?" Dominic asked amusingly.
Collin chuckled and shook his head. "Yes Dom, Brian."
They were heading to class together.
"So what's stopping you?"
Collin shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't found the right time I guess."
"You're nervous."
"Me? Nervous--"
"You're nervous Collin."
"I'm really nervous."
Dominic stopped him in his tracks. "All you have to do is ask him."
"I've never asked a guy out before. What if he's not up for it?"
"But what if he is?" Dominic interjected.
They entered the classroom and realised that the teacher was not yet present. Dominic however spotted Paige at the back.
