Jason rushed into the hospital and headed straight to the front desk.
"Is Lana Rowe here?" He quickly asked.
"Yes, she's in Room 4B. Take the first right down this hall."
"Jason--" A voice called out.
He looked in the direction where the voice came from and spotted Paige, Dominic, and Aiden. They were coming from the hall towards the waiting area. Jason approached them with concern written all over his face.
"How is she?"
Paige shook her head. "We don't know." Her voice slightly trembling.
Jason burst through them and followed the directions that were given to him. He went down the hall then turned right and a few steps later, he found Room 4B. He looked through the small window on the door and immediately saw Lana; lying on the bed with her eyes closed. His mouth partly opened as he stared at her. A few tears welled up in his eyes. There was also a doctor inside examining her. By this time, Paige, Dominic, and Aiden had caught up with him.
"What happened?" He muttered.
"We found her in her room--with needles." Paige slowly said.
Jason turned to face her, with an expression of disbelief.
"She must have done this to herself." Paige continued.
"No--" Jason said.
"Jason--" Aiden said.
"Don't say anything." He looked back through the window at her. "That psychopath must have done this to her. She wouldn't---she wouldn't do this to herself."
"We don't know for sure." Aiden said, stepping closer to Jason.
The doctor then approached the door. He opened it and was greeted by Jason and Aiden, who were closer to him.
"How is she?" Jason asked.
"It's hard to tell to be honest." The doctor replied. "She's not responding to anything right now."
"What do you mean?"
"She's unconscious. We'll have to run some tests to figure out what she had taken and--"
"She didn't--take anything." Jason interrupted, slightly tensed.
The doctor raised an eyebrow and Aiden rested his hand on Jason's shoulder. "Jason."
He relaxed a bit.
"How long will it take before you are certain?" Aiden asked.
"Not long. A few hours maybe."
Aiden nodded.
"An overdose like this could be deadly."
"Deadly? Wh--what are you saying?" Jason mumbled. "Are you saying that she might not wake up?" His voice shaky.
"I'm saying--" the doctor started. "Depending on how long she has been taking this drug, and the quantity, it could be possible. But, we'll do everything we can to help her."
Jason was unable to respond, so Aiden did instead with a nod. "Thank you."
The doctor nodded as well before walking away. Aiden looked back at Paige and Dominic who both had pained expressions on their faces. He then turned to face Jason but Jason walked away.
"I need to be alone." He said as he headed down the hall.
Aiden frowned and Paige and Dominic cleared the way so that he could leave. Aiden ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.
