Chapter 23

YOUR POV

Days have passed since the  'incident'. Nothing much happened. I went to the bar to work every day and tries to avoid drunkards from harassing me and apparently succeed. And guess what ? I left one more week of work and I've officially earned enough money to buy Jimin's present. Yeap that means i only have one week left until his birthday, and one more week left to be his 'girlfriend'. (A/N: and that means this book is going to end 😂) Me and Jin oppa became closer after the incident. Everything is going smoothly and good but I notice something weird about jimin. He didn't talk to me anymore nor came and find me. He kept hanging out with BTS and hyunnie and I would sometimes catch him staring at me. I tried talking to him few times but he just gave me short replies and always gave me excuses. I couldn't stand it longer so today I decided to go and find him and talk it out. I went to school early in the morning and stood in front of the gate, waiting for him. Lots of students that passed by looked at me weirdly and gave me disgusted stares but I ignored it. I waited there, under the hot sun for almost half an hour, left 10 more minutes until my first class starts. I started sweating a lot and felt a little dizzy. From far away I saw a couple walking towards the school gate while holding each other hand. When they walk closer, I could finally take a look at who is it and it was the person I've waited for —— Jimin and of course he's walking with hyunnie. Once they saw me standing in front of the gate, they both held a different expression. Hyunnie had a disgusted face while Jimin had a ..... blank face. But I saw that his eyes held guilty and softens for a second. I saw jimin mouthing something to hyunnie and hyunnie left Jimin after giving him a peck on his cheek before glaring at me. Jimin walked towards me and asked
"What are you doing here ?"
"I-I was waiting for you....." I replied looking down.
"For what ?" He replied coldly, as usual.
"I wanted to t-talk to you, I-Is that alright ?" I said weakly as I stood too long under the hot sun.
"About what?"
"Can we not talk about it h-here?"
"........ lunchtime, meet me at the garden, if you don't reach before me, I'm leaving" and with that, he walked away. 'At least he lets me talk to him. I will take this opportunity to fix our relationship' I thought sadly and went to my first class.
SKIPS TO LUNCHTIME
"RINGGGG" and it's finally lunchtime. I quickly packed my stuff and before I could leave the classroom, hyunnie and her gang were there blocking my way out.

"Where do you think you are going bitch?" hyunnie asked with a smirk while walking towards me.

"N-No where" I replied looking down as I could feel her gaze on me.

"Oh really? I thought you are going to the garden to meet MY oppa?" she said and that made me looked up and look at her, confused as to why she knows. She must have seen my confused face as she replied me.

"I heard your conversation with Jimin Oppa just now and apparently I heard that if you don't reach there before him, he will leave huh?" she replied with a smirk and gave her gang a signal and next thing I felt is a blow on my stomach. They kept punching and someone accidentally pushed me on the floor, my back made contact with the scars created by whips that day by Mrs.Natalie and I accidentally let out a scream. Hyunnie must have sensed that something is wrong and something must have happened to my back so she asked the others to flip me around so my back is facing them. Of course, she didn't bother looking at the scars, instead, the first thing she did was to step around my back with her high heels. Every step felt like I'm one step closer to death. Her heels would sometimes step on my scars, reopening some of them or making it worse. I kept begging them to stop the pain was unbearable but they didn't budge at all. After I don't know how long they finally left me. I quickly sat up and check the clock. Lunch is about to end in 5 minutes and I'm definitely late, Jimin must have reached the garden before me. 'Maybe if I go there now, he would still be there?' with that I stood up and limp my way to the garden, ignoring everybody's stare. Every step I took was painful. My palms were sweating and my heartbeat was beating fast, nervous to meet Jimin and talk to him face to face. Once I reached the garden, I went in and saw a pissed looking Jimin. He must have sensed my presence as he turned to look at me but his gaze immediately softens as he studies my beaten up figure but changes quickly back to his cold gaze.

"You're late. I thought I told you to reach before me?"

"I-I'm sorry, but please just listen to me this time"

"No, I thought I told you if you reached after me, I would leave straight away?"

"...... T-Then why are you still h-here?" I said to myself quietly.

"Since you've broken our 'promise', Goodbye" and with that, he left.

My legs felt weak so I sat on the floor, crying. "What happened between us jimin? What did I do wrong? Why can't you love me like how you love hyunnie? How pathetic am I for still holding onto that string of hope where you would love me back. We don't have much time before our times together ends, why can't you let our time end with a happy moment and memories?" I said to myself while crying my eyes out. After crying for hours, I finally stood up and went straight to my workplace. While I'm working, my boss asked me if I'm alright.

"Y-yes, I'm alright. I'm not tired, I could still work."

"Why are you out here working at such a young age? Girls your age are shopping or having fun with their friends."

"..... I need this money for a special someone" I replied with a small smile.

"Oooh, is it your boyfriend?"

"Uh, you could say that" I replied awkwardly.  'Are we even couples? I wish I could say that you, park jimin is my boyfriend loudly but sadly can't, as I know that only hyunnie could say that.....' I heard my name being called by one of the workers and I immediately snap out of my daze.

"Yoona, customers at table 6 wants to take order" my co-worker told me.

"Okayyy, coming"I replied back and went to table 6 only to meet 2 familiar faces.
