Chapter 24

I went to table 6 only to meet two familiar faces ........ hyunnie and Park Jimin. They had the same shocked expressions as me. I didn't tell anybody that I worked here and kept it a secret. 'How did they know I worked here? Did they follow me? Or was it just coincidence? But that's not the main point, why is hyunnie with Jimin Oppa? Oh wait I forgot they are dating, I have to start reminding myself every day that I'm not Jimin Oppa's girlfriend, hyunnie is. Do they hang out with each other every day?' So many negative thoughts came into my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I shooked it off after hearing my boss screamed at me. I started taking down their orders, but of course, through the process, I had to listen to them acting sweet to each other.

"Hello, can I take your orders now?" I asked politely while taking my notebook out.

"Oppa what would you like to eat?" hyunnie asked, batting her eyelashes at Jimin.

"Uhhh, stew kimchi jjigae, please," he said without looking up.

"Oh Oppa, that's your favorite food right?" hyunnie asked Jimin excitedly, Jimin nodded back. 'Noted, thank you hyunnie' I wrote it down and faced hyunnie, waiting for her order.

"I would like a salad with thousand island sauce. And a wild mushroom soup thanks" I wrote it down.

"Is that all?" I asked. They nodded, I took the menu away and left to place their orders.

A few minutes later, their food is ready. I took Jimin's food and went to their table. Before reaching the table, I saw Jimin kissing hyunnie's cheek, making her blush and both of them laughed at something, they looked happy. I placed Jimin's food in front of him and went to the kitchen to take hyunnie's salad and wild mushroom soups. I placed her salad down and before I could put the soup down, she pushed it towards me, making the soup splattered on my bottoms and the bowl went crashing down, making the whole soup splashed on the floor and bowl breaking. Customers heads snapped towards the loud crashing sounds.

"Oh I'm so sorry, my hand slipped," hyunnie said. I didn't say anything and bent down to clean the broken pieces. Hyunnie uses her heels to step on my palm while I was cleaning pieces under their table. I hissed quietly. I looked up and saw her making an innocent face looking at me. I stood up and before I could say anything, my boss stood behind me and twisted my ear, making it red.

"Yah, what are you doing?!" he screamed into my ears causing me to flinch a little. He pushed me towards the puddle of broken glasses and asked me to clean up before leaving. I felt a sting on my palm and checked only to see a bloody hand, must have accidentally cut my hand when boss pushed me. I quickly clean up the mess, ignoring the pain on my palm and went to throw away the broken pieces. I went to the sink and washed away the blood that's trickling down my palm right now and continued working. There were lesser customers now as its already late. I peeked at the direction of hyunnie and Jimin and saw them being lovey-dovey towards each other. My tears fell down unconsciously. 'Jimin never smiled like that when he's with me. He barely even smiles when he's with me, not like we hang out often but whenever we hang out, he would have a bored expression or he's smiling when he's texting somebody which most likely is hyunnie. I remember there's only a time where Jimin smiled like that towards me, and it was the time where I accepted his 'confession' ' i thought, smiling sadly at the last statement. They both stood up and went to the cashier to pay and left the restaurant. Once they left the restaurant, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding on, seeing both of them together, acting lovey-dovey, hurts me a lot but what can I do? Jimin loves hyunnie not me. I shook my thoughts away and continued working, half an hour more until my shift ends.
HALF AN HOUR LATER
My shift finally ends. I packed my stuff and was ready to go home. I left the restaurant after bidding goodbye to my co-workers and felt a hand grabbing my arm, stopping me from walking. I turned around and saw ........ JIMIN?!
