A/N: Hi! It's been about half a year since I last updated this story. I've neglected ya'll for far too long. (┬┬﹏┬┬)
I've decided to stop making promises I can't keep. Every time I say I'll update by a certain date, life somehow gets in the way. So instead, I'll simply say this.. To everyone who still clicked on this chapter despite the long wait, thank you so much for sticking around.
It means more to me than you know that you still support this story and have come to love it as much as I do (❁'◡'❁)
I'm hoping to publish again by the end of July, but I won't guarantee anything this time. For now, I hope you enjoy the chapter ♡
Third-person point of view
The humid afternoon air drifted through the open classroom windows, carrying the scent of pine trees from the mountain and the distant buzz of cicadas. Class E was in the middle of its break when Okuda suddenly turned around in her seat, eyes sparkling behind her bangs.
"W-We have a bet with Class A!"
Ginka blinked. "A bet?" She tilted her head, strawberry-blonde hair slipping over her shoulder. "With Class A?"
"Y-Yeah!" Okuda nodded so quickly her glasses almost slid down her nose. "Whichever class gets the highest number of top scores across the five exam subjects... wins!"
"And?" Ginka leaned forward.
"The losing class has to grant the winners one request."
Silence.
"...Any request?" Ginka asked carefully.
Okuda nodded so enthusiastically that her braids bounced. "A-Anything!"
"No way." Her chair scraped against the floor as she shot to her feet. "So if we win..." she said, pointing dramatically toward the main campus beyond the trees, "...we get one of Koro-sensei's tentacles and Class A has to do whatever we ask?"
"Seiun-san is really fired up," Isogai said with an amused smile.
"Right?" Maehara chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "She says it like beating Class A is as easy as buying bread."
Ginka placed a hand over her chest, "I'm manifesting success~"
Okajima grinned. "Sounds like an election speech."
Ginka cleared her throat and struck an exaggerated pose. "My fellow Class E students! Vote for Sei-chan—"
"We're not voting," Nakamura interrupted lazily.
"—and together we'll seize victory!"
"I kind of want to see where this goes," Mimura muttered, lowering his camera.
