Third person point of view

"You're talking to a transfer student who's only been here for five days. How do you expect her to know anything?" Morikawa Mika sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose. She wasn't usually one to pick fights, but she wasn't about to let some nobody talk down to her friend. "Unlike those dorks in the campus ranked below us, we don't exactly enjoy ridiculing people for sport." Her sharp gaze flicked over the group, unimpressed. "Frankly, your existence isn't even worth discussing."

Ginka's posture stiffened.

Despite her serene expression, she could feel the tension rising. She never saw Mika lose her cool like this before.

This was dangerous.

["Please calm down, Morikawa-san..."] But Mika didn't budge.

Kunugigaoka's Class B prided itself on being one of the more "reasonable" classes. They didn't bully the lower classes for fun. They promoted healthy competition—mainly targeting Class A, who constantly overshadowed them.

"Yeah, right." Karma's voice was dripping with amusement, his smirk sharp as a blade. "And this so-called transfer student also happens to be the daughter of that monster board chairman of the school."

Ginka's breath hitched.

"Let's be real," Karma continued, tone light, but eyes calculating. "You should know more than the students here do. This is your family's business, isn't it?"

That wasn't a question. That was a statement. Ignorance or a Lie?

Karma found it hard to believe that Asano Ginka knew nothing about how this school really worked. She was literally a candidate for succession.

Yet she was acting like she had no idea what was going on. It was ridiculous.

But Ginka was never considered as such and truly knew nothing. Perhaps there is fault in that. She got herself in a school without fully grasping how it works and just says whatever she pleases, as per the redhead thinks. While she is aware that there are five classes in total, she had no knowledge that one of them is secluded in the mountain with how big their school actually is.

But then— She just stood there. No denial. No argument. No fake act to deflect the conversation.

Just silence.

And somehow—that made it worse.

"Anyway," Karma exhaled, stepping away. "Just don't classify us the same as the rest of your school. We don't get treated the same, after all." His tone was lazy. But his words weren't. "We don't suck up to pretty words." He reached out, tapping her lightly on the shoulder before waving goodbye. "Better leave us alone, Asano-san. Keep hanging around us, and you might lose all your allies~"
