Third-person point of view
The fight with Itona ended by turning his own weaknesses against him. Before he could recover from the pesticide-soaked shirt, the class piled on—jumping into the water and overwhelming him with splashes, exploiting another of his limits. Cornered and overstimulated, he was forced to retreat.
Just like that, it was over. All's well that ends well—at least, mostly.
Terasaka yelled something about an "evil mastermind," and suddenly Karma found himself on the receiving end of justice. Or revenge. Or both. A coordinated splash hit him dead-on, soaking him through as the class erupted in laughter.
Unfortunately, another enemy was already looming.
Finals.
"Nurufufufu~! Over the course of this semester, you've all developed a solid grasp of the fundamentals," Korosensei announced, scribbling cheerfully on his clipboard while several duplicates taught different students at once. "At this rate, your finals scores are expected to improve considerably!"
Nagisa's fingers twitched over the edge of his notebook, shifting in his place as if trying to make himself smaller." "S-So.. are we aiming for the Top 50 again?"
"Nope!" Korosensei chirped. "Last time, I focused on your composite scores. But this time, each student will pursue an objective best suited to their strengths!"
Heads turned sharply, a few gasps breaking the usual hum, while students leaned forward instinctively, anticipation crackling like static.
"What, Topping all subjects at once now?" Ginka joked. "You're really mean, Sensei."
"N-No! Don't panic!" Korosensei zipped over to Terasaka, kneading his shoulders. "This goal even gives Terasaka-kun a real chance!"
He flashed back to the front, anti-sensei gun in hand. "As Shiro-san once noted, losing tentacles slows me down."
Bang.
He fired. His movement lagged—just slightly.
"Even a single tentacle loss has a noticeable effect," he continued as his duplicates shrank unevenly. Child-sized versions wobbled beside fully grown ones.
A murmur rippled through the class.
Now when he shot another tentacle, child duplicates increased more which now also created worrisome parent duplicates. And decreased again the adult vanishes in thin air leaving one alone with the children.
"That's just depressing!" Several students groaned, shoulders slumping as if the loss of tentacles were a personal blow.
Overall tentacle lore that did not make sense.
