Papyrus and I stayed at home, even though the barrier was broken. Not because we obeyed that asshole's command but simply we don't have a reason to really leave the underground. It almost been a week since that day when all of our three friends had died. Papyrus refused to talk to me and he was never seen again as he stayed in his room only. We really messed up this timeline huh?

I sat on my couch, staring blankly at the T.V that wasn't even on. What's the point of turning it on when the whole underground had already left and there's no one controlling the channels?

Well, that's what I think till I heard a knock on our front door. I groan in frustration, "Hold on."

I stood up and walked towards the door. I opened it and didn't really care who was in front of me.

"Sir or Ma'am, just leave us alone. We don't want anything to do with you, just leave us the fuc-"

"That's not nice to greet the fabulous Mettaton."

"What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you and to your brother about something important."

"I don't care. Nothing is important anymore. Everything is already over. Just get the fuck outta here."

I tried to close the door but his arm slides in, getting in the way. I sighed and rubbed my temple. I opened the door and was greeted by a frown.

"If you're going to discuss this 'important' stuff to Papyrus and I, you better convince me that it is important," I crossed my arms.

"What if I say, that there is a chance that we might be able to fix everything?"

I looked at him, dead in the eyes. I kept quiet for moment to process what he said. I looked away, "If you going to come here to tell me some sick joke, you may leave now."

"It is not a joke," he said calmly.

I grabbed his neck, "Let me tell you something obvious dipshit, dead monsters cannot be revived!"

"But not characters."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"I'm aware just like you."

I froze there, still in surprised. Is there really a way to make everything... Back to normal? This, this is too good to be true but, I need to take the risk.

I sighed in defeat, "In."

I glance at what he was holding. It seems he is carrying a briefcase. I shrugged, not really caring. I sat on the couch and he sat beside me. He puts his briefcase on the table.

"Why didn't you leave the underground?" He asked.

"What's the point?" I put my foot on the coffee table, "Papyrus is unhappy and all of my three friends are dead."

"What a shame."

For some reason that really pisses me off,

"Are you here to make my miserable life more miserable?"

"No. However your question really confuses me," he looked directly in my eyes, "why are you miserable?"

My blood boils, "Isn't fucking obvious? My friends died because of some fucking glitch in the underground!"

"That is interesting, coming from you."

I clenched my fist, "You really getting on my nerves. Stop acting like you know me."

"That's funny. I know you more than you know yourself."

As I was about to speak, Mettaton stood up and went up to the window.

"You never believe in friends. In fact, you hated everybody. The closest thing that was friend to you, was your brother, Papyrus," he turns around with a smile on his face, "Am I not wrong?"

I gritted my teeth. He turns back to the window,

"Which makes me wonder, since when do you have friends?"

He put his hand out, "Your goal was to keep Papyrus and yourself alive. Didn't you get what you want?"

I relaxed my posture but the frown was still on my face. I stood up,

"Yes. Its true. I didn't care about anybody. I only cared about Papyrus," I put my hand over my heart, "But, he, make me open my eyes to see that there are monsters beyond my circle who cared about me. Even the human."

He turned around with a smirk on his face, "I guess I don't really know you. I'm sure he will be proud of you."

For some reason, I have a feeling he wasn't referring to Papyrus.

He walked pass me, "Lets get your brother."

"There's a little issue. He won't come out at all or talk to me."

"Then I will just have to kick the door."

"Yea, right. Like you would dare."

I went upstairs with Mettaton. I knocked onto the door, "Paps its me Sans, open the door."

No response.

"See I told ya, he won't open the do-"

In just a second, the door was on the floor.

"Dude! What the fuck?!"

"I told you, I would kicked the door if he doesn't answer."

"I didn't think you meant literally, fucking hel...Paps!"

Papyrus was on the floor, trembling. I ran to his side and put my hand on his shoulder, "What's the matter bro?!"

"S-sans... I-it hurts.. M-my i-insides.."

"My prediction is right. Sans I need you to keep talking to Papyrus or do anything to distract him," Mettaton said.

I nodded even though I didn't fully trust him. He left the room which leaves Papyrus and I.

I rubbed Papyrus back, "It's okay Papyrus, everything will be fine. You will be alright a few minutes more. Just hold on okay?"

Mettaton came back with his briefcase. He put it on Papyrus bed and open it up. He took out a syringe and a bottle of unknown substance. He extract the liquid using the syringe.

He kneeled down and grabbed my brother's arm.

"Sans," Mettaton called me out.

"Oh, sorry," I apologize, "Hey Paps, you are going to be alright, the medicine is here already. Stay strong okay?"

"S-sans... What is wrong wit...." Papyrus went unconscious.

Mettaton took out the syringe, "He won't be able to survive at this rate."

Those words was enough to just kill me.

"No, please. I can't lose him. I lose almost everyone, I can't lose him next. Please, please do something."

"Even if I don't want to, it is a must to help the both of you out."

"Why?.."

"Its a wish. A wish of somebody who wants me to assist you as much as I could because they love you and your brother so much that they have to do something about it."

"Who is this person?"

"You will find out eventually," he stood up and put back his equipment in his briefcase, "I need you to carry you brother. We are going to the lab."

"Thank you.."

"Don't thank me. Thank him."
