Chapter 28

Papyrus was acting differently. He changed into a more hostile monster. Like... Really hostile. He was.. Crazy.

"Papyrus?..." I knocked onto his door.

"What the fuck do you want?"

"I.. Just want you to eat something."

"No appetite, now go away."

I sighed. I went down the staircase and sat on my couch. I layed there, looking at the ceiling.

Something... Must had triggered Papyrus. He just snapped and became aggressive. I mean I'm glad that the glitch is gone now but... This is not what I want.

Suddenly, my phone was vibrating. I took out and answered, "Hello?"

"Sans! Thank God you answered! I need you and Papyrus to come as soon as possible. The riot is getting crazier. I need both of your help."

"Alright. We will be there."

"Oh ya, by the way, how is Papyrus?"

"Well.." I sighed, "He's... No longer glitching."

"What?! How?!"

"I don't know but, he's different now. He... You'll have to see for yourself once we are there."

"Are you alright? You sound sad for a moment there."

"I'm good. I will see you soon."

I hang up before she answers me back. I went up to Papyrus room and knocked.

"I don't want to fucking eat!"

"That's not it. Undyne needs our help with the riot."

It took him seconds to open the door. When the door reveals him, he looks... Awful. Cuts were all over his face and body. Eyes were droopy.

"Papyrus..."

"Don't want to talk about it. Let's go."

When we walked throughout the places, nearly everywhere was a big messed. Sometimes, I don't even know if the white stuff was snow... Or they were dust. In Hotland, outside of Alphys Lab was just vandalized. I was going to checked on her but Papyrus stopped me from doing it. I rather be safe than sorry as something tells me he is back in his old personality. 

As we walked through the Core, we saw a crowd with pitchforks and signs.

"Let us in idiots! We know that filthy King is hiding those infected monsters in!"

The Royal Guards was protecting the entrance that had access to the King's Kingdom.

"This is shit. Even if Undyne let us in, it won't worked. They would probably go with us," Papyrus said.

"I know an idea," I smirked, "Here, grabbed my hand."

Instead of grabbing my hand, he puts it on my shoulder, "I rather not."

I gave a frown and do it anyway. I closed my eyes and channel my energy for us to teleport. In a blink of an eye, we were at the Judgement Hall. Undyne and the Royal Guards were preparing and wearing armors. I gave a smirk to Papyrus but instead of rolling his eyes like usual, he gave me a disappointed expression.

"Why didn't you tell me about this ability you had?"

As I was about to speak, he interrupts me, "Whatever, I don't want to hear your excuses."

He turned around and walked towards Undyne. I had this stinging pain in my heart. A feeling of hurt but also a feeling of wanting to slap the shit out of him.

"Woah! You scared me there! How did you guys get in here?" Undyne asked.

"Duh, we are ninjas remember?" I chuckled.

"I don't recalled any of that," she smiles.

She looked at Papyrus and gave him a hug but was pushed away when she did.

"What's wrong Papyrus?"

"I don't like people touching me."

She gave out a weird expression. She glance at me and back to him. She awkward chuckles, "Uhm, so I need extra help to defend the Kingdom and I know both are you are strong so that would really be a great help."

She looked at Papyrus and continues, "and I know you just quit the Royal Guards but I really really need yo-"

"I'm fine. This should be fucking easy," Papyrus walks passed Undyne to get the armor that was laying on the floor.

"What the fuck is wrong with him? He acted more cold and cocky than before. It makes me want to wish the glitch stayed on him you know?" She nags.

"Yea, I feel the same. I don't know what really happened but something triggered him and changed him. I will find out soon," I reassured her.

"Please do. I really can't stand his attitude. Just full of shit. Anyways, you can take the armor on the floor and if you want you can take the shield as well."

"Nah, I will pass for the shield."

She nodded and I went to take my armor.

Papyrus didn't looked at me while wearing his armor, "You guys were talking shit about me right?"

I glared at him, "Yea, about that ignorant attitude of yours."

"I wonder why."

"What do you mean?! I didn't do fucking shit to you these days!"

"Forget about it, I'm not fucking talking to someone who has a brain as small as a pea."

"Watch your fucking filthy mouth right there!"

"Guys enough!" Undyne breaks the fight, "I just receive a call from one of the guards and the crowd is coming. We don't have any time for any of this shit. All I asked was for the both of you to wear you armor and get ready for the fight! Don't make us even more pressurize, understand?!"

I looked away in anger. When did Papyrus became so rude?

"Sans, I want you to go to the back since you have the lowest health. We could really use your powers so use them from there."

"Pathetic," Papyrus mumbled.

My blood boils hearing him said there but I choose to ignore it.

"Papyrus, go to the front line with me." Undyne nudge her head to the right.

"Affirmative." 

Papyrus and Undyne went towards the door that I just realized had been installed recently. We all get to our position to get ready for the upcoming bloody fight. 

I really didn't sign up for this.
