Reset (Underfell Brothers)

Chapter 32

"S-sans?.." A weak voice called me out.

I jolted and raised my head quick. I sighed in relief, "Thank god you're okay."

"where are we?..."

"We are at.... Gaster Lab."

"oh... why are we here?"

"Bro, just take a rest okay? No more questions. I will get Mettaton. I'll be back in a sec."

"alright... brother..."

That word alone was enough to make me smile. I stood up and teleported to Mettaton location. He was doing some kind of coding.

"Mettato-"

"Sans! Don't scared me like that. I almost type the wrong code."

"Sorry."

He sighs, "It's alright, what do you need anyways?"

"My brother's awake."

He stood there, thinking. His pupils keep shifting left and right.

"Alright. Teleport me to him. I need to tell the both of you... The news that I been wanting to tell."

"Got it."

I grabbed his shoulder and teleported back to the nursing room.

"I'm back Paps," I sat next to him.

"mettaton?..." He said softly.

"Yes, its me Papyrus."

Suddenly, Papyrus coughed violently. I rubbed his back and gave him a cup of water. I looked at Mettaton and asked,
"So Mettaton, what is it that you wanted to tell us?"

He sighs and sat down, "This is difficult to explain but I will try my hardest to."

Papyrus sat up to listen what he had to say as well.

"I know both of you are aware that this world is a videogame. Its title is named after what we called the underground, Underfell. However, that is not the original name."

"Then what is the original name?"

"Its name is Undertale."

Both Papyrus and I took a while to let the new information sinks in. I spoke again, "okay... Continue."

"Undertale and Underfell are two completely different worlds. Undertale is a world where monsters are more friendlier while Underfell is the opposite. Originally, we are supposed to be friendly but unfortunately, a virus broke out and alter our personalities making us really hostile. If we tried to change our hostile personality back to our friendly one, it will messed up the system and the character will have glitches."

I gave out a confused face.

He sighs, "Okay lets use an example. Papyrus. He was abusive and aggressive to you before, am I right?"

I nodded.

"Did that occur when he was glitching?"

I shaked my head.

"He was more nicer and caring towards you, right?"

"Yes, but that doesn't explain why he turned back aggressive out of the sudden."

Mettaton looked at Papyrus. Papyrus looks down and fidgets his hands. I put my hand over his, "What is it that you are not telling me?"

He looked up to me and his expression holds so much emotions. Afraid, sad and betrayed.

"I saw... Father Gaster," he looked down, "he was.. Nice to me. He was so, genuine that it make me want to trust him for a moment. When you came, he dissapeared which makes me devastated and angry."
