Reset (Underfell Brothers)

Chapter 2

I layed on my bed, wondering, why do I hate Sans so much? Suddenly, the memories came back. It was flashing my eyes. Ugh, it hurts so much, like I had just hit by a truck. I.. Remembered now..

"Papyrus, identify this tool," Father Gaster brings out an item.

"Uh, I think it is a scalpel?" I said in an unsure tone.

Father Gaster sigh. He stands up, "It's a syringe. This is not working out."

"No! I can do it! I believed I could do it if I try harder! Please.. Don't lose faith in me," I pleaded.

He chuckled.

"What's so funny?" I nervously laugh.

"It's no use. You will never be as smart as Sans. You will never understand how this world works. You are just a pathetic child who needs attention," He walked away.

I.. Felt like something stabbed me. I felt, something wet on my face. I bring my hand up to my face and I think it's.. Tears? Does that mean I am sad? Is that what its called? Sad?

I can't stop my tears from flowing down.
I felt two arms hugging me from left side. I looked to my left and saw Sans.

"What's the matter Paps?" Sans wiped my tears away.

"F-father Gaster said, I was dumb that I will never be as smart as you," I looked down.

Sans lift my chin up to meet him in his eyes (or eye sockets?), "Hey, you are not dumb okay? In fact, you are the smartest monster for doing complicated puzzles!".

He smiled widely.

"Sans?" I called out his name.

"Yes, bro?" He asked.

"If I am really that dumb, please don't give up on me.." I hide my face in his chest.

"Paps, I will never ever think that you are dumb and I will never ever give up on you. Stop thinking that way okay? It hurts me to see you beat up yourself like that," He hugged me tightly.

"Sans, pass me the battery," asked Father Gaster.

I peeked through the door and see what my brother and father was up to. It's seem that, there was a monster that was laying on the table. He doesn't move, so I thought he was dead. (However Papyrus doesn't know that monsters turned to dusts if they were to die). There was this huge machine that is pointing at the dead monster. I saw it once before and it shoot outs lasers from it! It was cool.

Father Gaster was putting the 'battery' that Sans gave to him, into the machine.

"Okay, Sans, pull down the lever" said Father.

I gasped. This is my opportunity to show Father Gaster that I am smart! I shall pulled down the lever. After all, I am the great Papyrus!

I ran into the room and went to the lever. However, I never realised there were another two levers beside it. I don't know which one to choose.

"Papy-" I choose randomly and pulled it down.

Suddenly the laser thingy shoots the corpse. It turned into dust.

"Papyrus!" Sans shouted.

I looked at Sans with a grin, but he looked shock. Of course, I am the Great Papyrus that makes monsters jaws dropped in awe!
