Reset (Underfell Brothers)

Chapter 15

I guess I have no choice. I hid in the closet and waited for Papyrus to come. About 3 minutes later, I heard footsteps.

"Sans! Are you still in here?!" He shouted.

I could see him step into my room.

"That idiot didn't even bring his clothes with him. Ah well, as long as he leaves I'm fine with that," he said to himself.

I can't lie but that actually hurt me a little.

When he was about to leave my room, I charged towards him. He looked behind to see me running. Perfect. My hand was glowing neon red, and I touched his forehead. He fell down unconscious.

I kneeled down beside him and check if his soul was still beating. Fortunately, yes. I sighed in relief.

"I'm sorry... But this was the best for the two us," I whispered.

I carried him to his bed and layed him down. I put the covers on him. This gave me a warm feeling. I used to this when Papyrus was younger and I would read him his bedtime story.

I went out of his room and closed the door. I sat on the couch, trying to composed myself. Its just so hard to pretend that nothing had just happened. I rested my head on my hand while my elbow was resting on my leg.

I took out my notebook and wrote down about everything. What had happened, what I felt at that moment and what I had experience. I felt so much better, writing down.

Then Papyrus opens the door. I quickly hid my notebook.

"Sans, wake up you-"

"Yes boss?"I smiled at him.

"Tsk."

I didn't know what we, or the underground, were made of. All I know was that everything here was not real. I may be a scientist once, but... I'm not able to uncover all of the secrets of this world like Dr. Gaster did but... I'm going to protect everyone here. Especially... Papyrus. I'm going to rebuild our family back, and spend every hour with him.. No matter what.

I remembered all of those memories. They were so intense yet, I hold them dearly to my heart. It shows me how far we had gone. Even if he doesn't remember everything, I won't mind it at all. As long as I am allowed to be with him, I won't be bored even at the 100th reset. I would always be there for him.

Suddenly, I heard a harsh banging coming from my door.

"SANS, GET YOUR ASS UP AND OPEN THE DOOR!"

I looked at the clock and it was still early. I walked towards my door and open it.

"Oh Pap- I mean Boss, wassup? It still early you know?" I said casually.

"Don't 'wassup' me or use that idiotic slang, there's a dog that broke in our house!" He pointed at the annoying dog that was bitting the carpet, "and he tried to BIT ME!"

"Don't worry, I got you," I said in reassurance.

I walked down and he followed me from behind.

"Get rid of that mu- AH!" He screamed.

The dog tackled and licked Papyrus face.

"SANS! SANS! HE'S ATTACKING ME! KILL IT, KILL IT WITH FIRE!" He yelled.

I tried to hold in my laughter. I never seen Papyrus acted like this before!

"Calm down Boss, he's not attacking you. He just likes you a lot!" I said calmly.
