Everyone started screaming in panic, they began to find a way to escape the dome but it was useless.

"Dad?" Sans came closer, with a soft expression, and put his hands on the wall of the dome, "What's going on?"

Papyrus ran towards Dr. Gaster only to collide against the wall. He fell to the ground and rubbed his head, "Father, could you open this thing?"

"I'm sorry son, but I'm afraid I couldn't," Dr. Gaster looked up towards his sons.

"Why, father?" Papyrus tilted his head.

Dr. Gaster put his hands on the wall as well. The father and his two sons are separated from the thin and unbreakable wall.

He rested his forehead against it, "I messed up. Big. I bring a... 'Disease' into this world and I have to create something to keep all of you safe from it."

Dr. Gaster lifted his shirt up and the glitch there. Sans was shocked and loss of words. His hands falls to his sides.

"Why didn't you tell us?..." Sans looked down.

"Why?!" He shouted while his tears falls down rapidly.

"I'm... Sorry Sans."

Papyrus looked at Sans and at Dr. Gaster back and forth with a frown on his face which was heartbreaking to look at. He decided to look at Dr. Gaster, "Are you... Going to leave us?"

Dr. Gaster kept quiet, he hang his head low.

"Yes.."

Papyrus eyes went wide, "Please don't leave us father!"

"I have to. I need to keep both of you safe," Dr. Gaster voice was tiny, like he was afraid to speak.

He sighs and forced a smile, "Remember to love eachother alright? Never let eachother go no matter. I'm sorry for not spending time with you two, but I love you even more to not want to see you two die because of me."

"Please don't go... Please," Papyrus hands were pushing against the wall, hoping it would reach his father.

Sans was covering his face with his hands, breathing heavy. He wasn't ready for this at all. He thought his dad was just being an asshole, but in reality, he was just doing the opposite. He was so naive into thinking his dad was a bad guy.

"I love the both you of you so so much," Dr. Gaster's voice cracked.

Papyrus was holding in the pain. Putting his teeth together in place. He was trying to be strong. He was trying to accept all the things that is happening but he knew deep within him, he wasn't fine with this at all. Tears were threatening him but he choose to wiped it away. If this is what his father has to do, he will accept it for his sake. He gave his father a big fat wide smile for his last moment,

"I love you too, Father."

Dr. Gaster was touched. He never knew Papyrus was strong to handle this kind of situation. He smiled at him as well.

"I'm proud of you Son. Never stop trying to make the world a better place...and make sure to be the Strong Head of the Royal Guard that you are meant to be."

Papyrus nodded vigorously.

Dr. Gaster looked at Sans.

"Sans, I'm sorry for doing all of this. I have to repay all the damages I had done, even if it means death."

Sans never responded.

"Forgive me."

Sans still never responded. He stares at the ground miserably. Dr. Gaster looks down and stood up. He turned and walk away.

"DAD!"

Dr. Gaster turned his head back to Sans.

"I-i'm sorry! I-i know you are mad at me for being r-rude, mean and dumb. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorr-"

"Sans. I'm not mad at you. I will never be mad at you. Never say that. You are not rude or mean or dumb. I understand that it must be hard when I avoid you, I would be angry too if I was you. You have every right to be angry at me because I bring this problem to the two of you. I should be the one who is sorry."

"Dad, please stop this. I don't care if I die. I'd rather be dead than seeing you leave us. Please. Don't leave us here!"

Dr. Gaster gave out a frown, "You won't be remembering me the same way after this, you'll hate me and you wouldn't want me to be alive."

"What?! What are you talking about?!"

"Goodbye Sans, Goodbye Papyrus."

He walked away and never turned back. Sans kept screaming for his Dad and banging onto the wall, while Papyrus sat there trying to hold in his tears. Metatton just looked away.

"Gaster I command you to open this right now!" King Asgore said.

"I'm sorry my King but its for your own safety."

He press the button which released the gas in the dome. The screams were slowly reduced. Half lidded eyes came to a full close, everyone was knocked unconscious, deep, deep in their sleep.

Papyrus and Sans slowly relaxed and slept against eachother. Metatton systems shuts down.

"Remember me.." Dr. Gaster whispered.

It almost felt like he was talking to me. I decided to call him out.

"Dad?.." I said softly.

"Hey son," he turned to looked at me.

"Wait, you can hear me? Aren't you dead?" I backed away.

"I am. I'm just a bunch of code that Metatton made me," he gave me a gentle smile, "he made me interactive at this specific moment."

"Oh... So you're not real?" A hint of dissapointment is found in my voice.

"Well... I'm half of it. Metatton was instructed by Dr. Gaster himself to write all of these codes."

"So can I ask you questions?"

"I'm sorry, I have limited lines to say."

"Oh, I see.." I clenched my fist and shut my eyes, "I.."

Suddenly I felt arms wrapping around me,

"You don't have to say anything."

I trusted him and didn't say anything.

"Sans, I know I couldn't be there for you throughout your entire life, I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry to have to end it this way. I would kill to have a moment to be with the both of you once again. I know you and Papyrus will find a way out of this messy situation that I brought to the two of you. I believe in my boys."

I only hugged him tighter. I wanted to treasure this moment even if he wasn't real.

"I love you Sans."

I mumbled, "I love you too Dad."

He removed my arms and looked at me.

"Goodbye Son."
