Zephaniah
The earthquake shakes the whole house. A few of the windows break.
"Zeph, this isn't an ordinary earthquake!" Elyssa yells, running down the stairs.
"What is it, then?" Hab yells from the other end of the hallway.
"I think it might be something to do with Truth and Lies." she yells over the noise. I grab onto the bannister with one arm and hold Elyssa close with the other. The house continues to shake, knocking things over.
As suddenly as the earthquake started, it stops.
"Everyone okay?" says our father, poking his head round the door.
"Yes. We're a little shaken, but otherwise alright." Hab replies. I'm confused, because I don't feel shaken. Elyssa's laughing, it takes me a few seconds to realise Hab was making a joke.
"That's terrible, Hab!" I say.
"I don't know what's funnier, the joke or your face when you were working it out!" Elyssa says.
