"Will he be ready, my lord?" my stupid, impertinent sidekick asks.
"Joral, he will be ready. Send word to the Crawlers they are to kill the other boy."
"Aye, my lord."
For several months now I have been watching my new object of interest – the boy they call Zephaniah. He is growing stronger, and more scared.
A smile plays across my face.
I will enjoy his death.
Looking closer at those around him, I see something of interest.
John has nearly worked out my plan.
"Joral! Get here!" I yell.
"Yes, my lord?"
"Go to Haminde. Tell him to spin up Truth and Lies. That should be fun."
Joral smiles. "Aye, my lord."
