I woke up to my alarm. After turning my alarm off, I took a long shower, knowing Jace and Kian won't wake anytime soon. Afterwards, I got dressed in a black tank top, grey leggings, and white converse.

I walked out and made sure I had everything packed. Quietly, I moved all my things outside the apartment door. I wrote a note, telling them to check out for me.

I stood in the doorway and looked back at the two sleeping on the couch. I was really going to miss them. They had become like brothers, but I couldn't wait to get back home.

I closed the door quietly as a tear slipped down my cheek. I moved my stuff out front and waited for my uber.

Me: Leaving for the airport. See ya soon

Dani🍉: See ya soon!

My uber pulled up and I loaded up. The drive was short, about 5 minutes. I got everything out and went through the process all over again.

I got onto the plane and took a window seat. I looked outside and wished I could stay. I wondered what Jace and Kian would think. Soon, the plane took off.

~

I got off the plane and got all my stuff. I walked outside where the boys said they'd be. I didn't see their car anywhere. Great.

Someone startled me by putting their arms around my waist, picking me up and spinning me. They set me down and I turned around coming too close for comfort, with Zachary Herron.

"I missed you, Mik." He whispered.

"Missed you more." I whispered back.

"Hey yo! Milan!" Jack yelled.

Zach and I pulled apart, right before he kissed me. I internally screamed at Jack for ruining it.

"We missed you!" Jack yelled hugging me.

"Missed you guys too!" I said.

He led me to the car with Zach following behind. We drove home silently with the radio on. Jack really had to ruin that perfect moment.

When we got home, the boys helped me carry everything inside. Everyone rushed over hugging me. After that, I put everything back in my room. It hadn't changed since I left.

"Hey." Zach said walking in.

"Hey." I sighed after putting my clothes away.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to Greenleaf?" He asked.

I nodded. We walked out saying a quick goodbye to everyone. He drove us to the cafe and we headed inside. I got my coffee, he got his strawberry smoothie.

I was about to go sit, when he pulled me out to the car. He took off driving with me sitting in the passenger seat, confused. Zach parked by the pier, then got out. I followed suit and we hiked up the hill. It'd been silent the whole time, but I didn't mind.

We sat on a bench that was overlooking the water. It was once again, breathtaking. I loved coming here, even with Zach. It was weird being back here considering the one time he saw.

He cleared his throat, "I wanted to talk with you again."

I nodded, "Go ahead."

"You have no idea how much we all missed you. It was hard barely hearing from you." Zach confessed.

"I bet it was. I missed you all too." I told him.

He sighed, "When we got the news, we all felt like we'd been hit by a car. I thought that maybe you going away would save you. I was beyond wrong."

"It's alright. It was my choice." I chuckled slightly.

"Yeah I know. Why?" Zach asked.

I looked at him, "What do you mean?"

"Why'd you do it?"

I stared at him, "I don't know. I really am not sure why I made such a stupid choice. But I'm glad those two came when they did. They saved my life."

"Yeah. You know how important you are to everyone. I know you do. But I want you to know something." He said turning towards me.

"What's that?" I asked.

He smiled, "No matter how hard it gets, we will always be by your side. Everyone will. It's not a coincidence that you've been saved a few times. We all look out for you, because we love you. When you were found when you first moved, they wanted to watch a movie with you. When I came here and found you, I needed to know you were okay. When Jace and Kian came to your apartment, they wanted to surprise you! We all love and adore you, Milan! I need you to understand that."

"And I do. I appreciate you all so much. I've never wondered why you all care, and I don't need to know. I feel like if I wasn't here that maybe things would be okay." I said.

"Things are okay. They've always been okay. And they will always be okay. But I need to make sure you don't do something like that again." Zach hugged me tightly.

"And if I do?"

"You won't. I trust you." He mumbled into my shoulder.

A tear slipped from my eye onto his jacket, "Don't let me."

"Never. But you have to promise me you won't. Promise me you won't relapse again." He looked at me seriously.

"I promise I won't ever relapse again." I smiled.

He smiled bigger than I've ever seen, "Good. Now let's get back home."

We walked back to the car and climbed in. I really needed that talk with him. Zach drove us back to the house and we walked inside.

Jack ran to us, "You two, grab all the snacks you can find. Movie night." He smiled so big at us.

Everything was turning up and I wouldn't mind staying in this moment forever. Zach and I got everything and after a couple trips back and forth, we settled on the couch. Corbyn put in The Sandlot.

We watched that and a couple more movies. It was great. Everyone was asleep besides me and Corbyn by 12:15 am. It was weird. We were close friends, but we'd never talked alone.

My phone buzzed and I looked at it. It was a few messages from Jace and Kian.

Uh-oh.
