« mutsumi x clumsy reader »
YOU WERE BACK from a long day at work, having your boss stress you out even more. Not only that, but you had accidentally spilled the Slurpee you had bought on your way back home.
You couldn't wait to dig into the warm sheets of your bed, maybe with a little cup of tea and a book in your hand as you wait for your boyfriend of two years, Mutsumi Asuma.
You never really knew what Mutsumi saw in you that made him like you enough to make you his girlfriend. Aside from the fact that you love reading his history books, the two of you were complete opposites.
Him, the sweet gentleman, and you, the number one klutz anybody could have in their life. What made you special to him?
"I'm home," you say to yourself, knowing that your boyfriend would come home later than you do. He works as a History teacher (makes sense) at the same school the two of you went to before.
You flick on the lights, lighting the entire living room in a blink. You sigh in satisfaction, happy to be back home. No boss to make you miserable, just you and your wonderful boyfriend. Maybe some ramen, too.
You went to the room you and Mutsumi shared, seeing your messy clothes strewn across the polished wooden floor. Mutsumi was always neat with his things - always the organized one.
"Shit," you cursed under your breath, looking at an empty wardrobe. "All of my clothes are in the laundry..."
You scan the room to find maybe at least a shirt that'll keep you covered during the cold night. But all you can find was Mutsumi's gray hoodie.
A thought crossed your mind. It's been a while since you found out that girls sometimes wear the clothes of their boyfriends, usually it happens when they miss the guy or just want to be appear all cutesy in front of them.
Well in my case, I'm gonna use it so I don't have to freeze to death, you thought. Without any second thoughts, you slipped into his hoodie, surprising you with it's soft fabric.
"No wonder he always wore this after a long day of work..." you mumble to yourself, covering yourself with a blanket and drifted off to sleep.

"Alrighty, Mutsumi, you can go now. Thanks for the help," one of my coworkers, Jiro, smiled, waving at me tiredly. I gave out a small laugh, waving back at him. "It was nice to help,"
Normally, I would be home by now, if it weren't for me volunteering to help Jiro with the grading system. He was new to the world of teaching, and needed some guidance to help him get used to the way things work as a teacher.
"I wonder if (Y/N)'s home already," I said to myself, looking at my watch tiredly. It was half past six already, surely she'd be home by now.
It was a regular habit of mine to be shrouded with worry for (Y/N). During most of our dates, she wouldn't miss the opportunity to be clumsy, as much as I found it quite adorable, it makes me uneasy whenever I'm not around her. If I was, I'd always be there to help her get up (or heal a broken bone if she's really clumsy) and ease her embarrassment.
I stood outside the door of our apartment. Seeing the lights on eased my worries for (Y/N).
"I'm home," I quietly say, waiting for a response from (Y/N). I'd usually find her eating on the sofa, but this time, she was nowhere to be found.
I looked over to our room and saw lights as well. "Good, good..." I mumbled, walking towards it.
There she was, sleeping peacefully. She must've been so tired after work, she'd been sleeping the whole time. I smile, looking at her all messed up hair covering her beautiful face.
"Eh? Where's my hoodie?" I spun around the room, in search for my gray hoodie. My eyes landed on (Y/N) again.
"Oh. Well that makes sense," I sigh, smiling at her. She looked so adorable, her hands covered by the over sized sleeves. She can never be un-adorable, can she?
I wore another hoodie and lay down next to (Y/N), looking at her beautiful face.
I was about to drift into a satisfying sleep, when I heard mumbling.
"Mutsumi..." (Y/N) slurred, turning the other side. "What do you see in... me..?"
I was taken aback by her words. What do I see in her? Normally, she'd be talking about turtles and iguanas when she sleeptalks. But this time, she was different.
I closed my eyes and smiled. "A lot,"
She snored loudly. "Like... like what?"
"Well," I began, gathering my thoughts. "You never seem to pass a day without making me smile. You're always thanking me even though it's nothing to be grateful about, actually. Not many people are like that in this time of the world," it didn't matter to me that I was spilling all of this to a half-awake girlfriend. But it'd be something I can tease her about tomorrow morning.
"What else..?"
"You're always ready to sacrifice something just for the sake of others. And that's one of the many reasons that I adore you so much."
But there's so much more that I could say to (Y/N). Only, I could never find the right words to express how I feel about her. I can feel it all in my heart, that indescribable feeling towards her that I couldn't say. It's confusing and aggravating at the same time, unable to express it in a way where she wouldn't understand how I really felt.
(Y/N) let out a faint chuckle, a small smile imprinted on her lips. "Thank you... Mutsumi," she whispered, turning to face me again. She planted a quick kiss on my lips and continued to snore for the whole night.
