YOU WERE ON your way towards the train station, briskly walking as you pass by your chattering classmates, planning their upcoming weekends with their friends.

"Hey, (Y/N)," a soft voice came from behind. You turned to see one of your friends from Chemistry class, Ai Yui run over to you.

"Hey, Ai. What's up?" You ask, looking down to your dwarf-like friend.

"Do you have any plans for the weekend?" She asked, her big, bright opal-like eyes staring at you.

"I do. Why do you ask?"

Ai looked a little bummed. "Well, Chikako and I planned to go to the mall later. Wanna join us?" She beamed, flashing you her shit eating grin.

You gripped the strap of your backpack tightly, avoiding Ai's gaze. "Well um," you stammered, unsure of what to say.

"Well?" Ai pressed, leaning her ear closer to you. You didn't like how close she was. You took a small step back from her.

"I can't. I have to take care of my mom back at home..." you mumble under your breath. Ai's expression turned into a sad one, her bright smile gone.

"Oh, is that so?" She asked, immediately losing interest. "Well then, have fun with your weekend!" She smiled, giving you another look before walking away.

You sighed, dragging your feet heavily towards the train station. You had a glum expression on your face as you looked down onto the filthy linoleum floor, tears welling from your eyes.

You arrived at the train station, with students and adults coming home from a long day in school and work. The sun was slowly setting, and you had to attend to your mother's needs as soon as possible.

People squirmed their way into the train, with you being pushed around like some unwanted dummy in a dojo.
"Shit!" You swore, hitting your head against a cement pillar. You sank down onto the dirty ground, your head developing a splitting headache.

Your vision slowly cleared, and within a blink of an eye, the train station was already empty. You sighed, clearly irritated now that you have to wait for a few more minutes before another trains stops by.

The train station became cold. You were shivering from where you stood, wrapping your arms around yourself. You took out your jacket and pulled the hood over to your head, tucking both your hands inside the pockets.

"Mother's probably alone right now," you say to yourself, your voice bouncing against the walls of the empty place. "She probably hasn't taken her medicine yet..." you look down to your feet, thoughts filling your head like water filling up a balloon. You sigh in despair, letting yourself get carried away by your pessimistic mind.

The sound of an incoming train snapped you back to reality. You stood up, your gaze following the fast pace of the train. It came to a slow stop, with you boarding in without any second thoughts. You sigh, standing right behind the train doors, watching the surroundings before you zip by as the train gradually picks up speed.

You were occupied with your thoughts again, when you heard a painfully nearby cough. You instantly perked up, face to face with a tall boy. He towered you upon your height, looking down at you with a surprised expression.
