"Will you marry me?"
IT WAS PROBABLY the best thing that could happen to you. You've been dreaming for your boyfriend of three years, Nagisa Shiota, to kneel down on one knee and propose.
God, it would be a dream come true. Ever since the two of you finished high school, the blue haired lad didn't waste a single breath to ask you if you wanted to have a relationship with him.
And now, the two of you were working adults, saving up as much money as you can for a possible family in the future.
You were currently wrapped up nicely amidst the fluffy blankets the two of you shared, hunching over to your phone as you binge watched (F/S) on Netflix.
Your dear boyfriend was still at work, acknowledging you that he would be home later than usual, and promised to bring home dinner as well.
Oh well, you wouldn't want to complain. Nagisa always made sure to bring home something tasty - something that you've been craving for lately. He was definitely the perfect boyfriend.

"Nagi-chan should be home by now..." you mumble to yourself, worried about your boyfriend. He should've been home two hours ago if he decided to stay and work a few more hours at school.
You went to your phone, quickly typing in a message. You bit your lip, pressing the SEND button anxiously.

Where r uYou decided to wait for a few more minutes, hoping to hear the door creak open, followed by his sweet-sounding "I'm home,".
You plopped back to bed, engulfed between the blankets that kept you warm. Then all of a sudden, heavy rain fell from the dark sky, along with the cackling of thunder that startled you from your half-awake state.
You peer outside from the window. You couldn't even see the faint glow of the street lamps, or distinguish the neighbor's houses just across the street. Everything looked cloudy.
You puffed your cheeks slightly, knitting your brows in pure optimistic determination.
"Maybe Nagisa can't get home because of the rain," you muttered, forcing your mind to come up with reasons as to why he still wasn't home yet.
As much as you'd try to cover his actions up with reasons, you still couldn't help but feel that something changed in your relationship with him. He's become so... distant - so quiet and reserved up to the point that he wouldn't talk to you during long, cold nights, leaving you shivering with endless doubts.
He's also been out with his coworkers more often, spending less time with you. Everyday felt like you were losing a part of him and yourself.
You didn't want to think he was cheating. Hell no, you knew Nagisa would be better than that. It was just impossible.
You stared at the bowl of popcorn before you, recalling how Nagisa promised he would snuggle up with you and binge watch your favorite shows, hoping to pull him deep into the Netflix addiction you were suffering.
