"LET'S DO SOMETHING different for Christmas this year," you say to your boyfriend, who was busy doing the tutor work that you had given him after school. "It's getting kinda boring just lounging around, you know."
Nanashima sighed, placing his pen down. He stared at you with his dark green colored eyes, along with an unreadable expression on his face.
"What do you have in mind?" He asked, his tone flat. You took a deep breath, thinking about all sorts of places the two of you can go to.
"Hmm, a lot actually. How 'bout Kyoto?" You smiled, watching as your boyfriend's expression of uninterest morph into a horrified one.
"As if! First of all, I don't have enough money for that, and second, I don't think my parents are fond of that idea." He crossed his arms and straightened his back, his way of playing the "smart kid" in front of you.
You pout, averting your gaze from Nana's victorious smirk. You looked outside, the sky's color slowly turning into a dark shade of orange. You fell silent, leaving your blondie with no option other than to finish his worksheet.
"How about you ask Serinuma? She's good with those kind of things," Nanashima said, his eyes glued to the nearly torn worksheet paper of his.
"Eh? Come to think of it, she always has a place to go to for every holiday," you pondered. You turned to your boyfriend instead.
"Do you have any ideas though? Mine are kind of ridiculous," you chuckle in embarrassment, scratching the back of your head.
"Well," Nana began, leaning back onto his chair, clasping his hands behind his head. "We can't really go anywhere because of your low tolerance to cold. So I guess going somewhere for Christmas would be useless,"
You let out a faint gasp escape your lips, surprised and hurt by Nana's words. You knitted your eyebrows, looking down at your desk.
"If you hate spending Christmas with me that much, I'll just have to spend it with Igarashi and the others." You shot back, crossing your arms.
Nanashima glared at you. "Hold on a second," he said, raising his voice. He slammed his hands against the desk the two of you shared. "Since when have you been the outgoing type? For all I know, you couldn't even stand being outside!"
"Since the second you said that going somewhere for Christmas with me is useless!" You yelled back, standing up as well.
"What I said was true, and I'm not taking it back,"
Your temper was rising. You could feel your ears heating up, as well as your face. Tears welled in your eyes, with you forbidding them to spill in front of Nana.
"You're such a drama queen," he scoffed, taking his seat after his sudden lash out. You fell silent, standing still onto the ground, your gaze glued to your shoes.
"Hurry up and give me all the worksheets so we can go home together earlier, (Y/N)." Nanashima stated, once again, for himself. He didn't even sound like he was bothered when he yelled at you.
That was it. You had enough with him and his attitude.
"Go home yourself," you say, the bitterness seeping into your voice. Nanashima looked up at you in confusion. You simply held an expressionless look in your eyes.
You grabbed your back and walked out of your classroom, slamming the door shut, leaving your confused boyfriend alone.
"Jerk..." you mumbled, wiping your tears as you make your way home alone.

"What the hell did I do wrong?" Nanashima asked, plopping down on his messy bed. He'd been fussing about what happened earlier ever since he got home.
"Easy. You hurt her feelings," Igarashi replied in a nonchalant tone. "I thought you already knew that (Y/N) is a sensitive girl."
"Yeah, I know," Nana said, sitting up straight, his brows knitted with worry. "It's just that I never expected her to take it the wrong way."
"Well, what did you mean?"
Nanashima's face heated up, turning his cheeks into ripe tomatoes. "I can't tell you! It's... cheesy stuff," he stammered, clearly flustered.
Igarashi laughed from the other line. "Then why don't you tell her? That way she'll understand what you meant,"
Nana stared at his feet, unsure of what to do next. He may look like a tough guy, but his little sister and his girlfriend are his only weaknesses.
"'Kay," he sighed, pondering with his thoughts. "I'll try to think about it. For now, let's just wait for her to cool down"
Igarashi paused for a moment, clearly disappointed in his best friend. "You really don't know anything when it comes to relationships, don't you?"
"I don't," Nanashima retorted, "but I want to learn."
"Well then, good luck."
