I heard another gunshot while I was on patrol. Who could that be? Cole was here, at our safe house. I ran and stumbled as I was being surrounded. Matimba had fought to come with me, but I had refused. I had told her I could bring her some food, that she didn't have to worry, and that I would be alright. Adrenaline overfilled my thoughts and nerves. It was a basic override. My body was hungry; My brain parasitic. I was hungry.

I was so tired of waiting for these zombies to attack. Suddenly, as if the hungry pang in my stomach and mind wasn't enough, there was a loud bang. The gunshot was deafening. My ears rang, and my heart pounded fast. It was all over too soon when I saw the helicopter.

The ladder dropped and a strange figure jumped down after climbing it. The figure was armored. I could not see its face. The gorilla's fell as more gunshots sounded loud and clear. The figure grabbed the rope ladder, and grabbed me by the arm. Then, everything went black. Where was he taking me?
