"Hi Bubs." You kiss Brandon as you curl up beside him on the couch.
"Hey," his voice is dull.
"What's wrong?" You fiddle with his necklace.
He doesn't respond. You sit up and pull him into your chest.
"Brandon, seriously. What's wrong?" You ask again.
He snuggles deeper into your chest. You sit in silence for a few minutes, playing with his hair. Then, you decide to play his favorite song. His mood gets 10 times better when he hears this song usually.
"Come dance," you smirk as you stand up.
He flops into where you were just sitting. You groan and walk into the kitchen.
"Hey Y/n." Edwin comes in.
"What's wrong with Brandon?" You ask Edwin.
"He's just stressed."
"That's it?" You glance at Brandon.
"Yeah," Edwin responds. "Oh, tell Brandon we're going to the skate park in 10."
"Ok." You walk back over to Brandon.
You push his head into your lap.
"Edwin said to tell yuh they're going to the skate park in 10."
Brandon perks up. He kisses you quickly.
"Bye baby, I love you." Brandon makes a mad dash for the garage.
Your heart drops. The fact that Brandon was more excited to hangout with the boys than with you broke your heart. Due to both of your busy schedules, you barely have any free days to spend with each other. Lately, he's been passing up time with you to be with the boys. You try not to over think it. Instead, you focus on getting ready for bed. You walk upstairs and start your shower before grabbing your clothes. Walking into you and Brandon's room, you start thinking about the situation. This results in the shower running for forever and you never getting in the shower but crying in the dark on the bed until the boys get home. It takes a few minutes for Brandon to make it to the room. When he does, he turns on the light and realizes your crying. He rushes over to you.
"Y/n baby. What's wrong?" He wraps his arms tightly around you.
You don't respond, instead you shove your face into his neck.
"Baby," he says.
His hands rub your back until you're ready to talk.
"You're acting different around me. You've been passing up opportunities to spend time with me for the boys. Ignoring me, and other things. It's worrying me that we're growing apart and I really don't want that." You start to cry harder.
Brandon places his hand on your head as you lay your head back on his shoulder.
"Baby I'm so sorry. I didn't know you felt this way. I'm sorry. I forget how busy our schedules actually are and how limited our time together actually is baby. We're not growing apart. I promise. I love you baby and I always will." He kisses your head.
You lay there in his arms as he rubs your back. You can hear the boys downstairs yelling at the tv. Brandon takes no interest in the sounds coming from downstairs.
"You can go down with the boys. I have to shower." You look up at him.
"I'd rather wait for you. Maybe even join you." He smirks.
"In your dreams Bubs." You laugh.
"Well dreams can come true." He chases you into the bathroom.
You had forgotten about the shower that you left on an hour ago.
"Oops." You turn to Brandon.
He smiles as he shakes his head. He walks up behind you, wrapping his hands around your waist and kissing your neck.
"Only something my baby would do." He says against your skin.
"Of course." You laugh as you and Brandon step into the shower.
