DESCRIPTION
luna lovegood always had her head in the clouds, ignoring reality, but when no-nonsense meredith's life comes crumbling down, luna offers her friendship. the two may find themselves as the most unlikely friends... or maybe more.

SUMMARY
meredith is a ravenclaw in her 7th year at hogwarts. she's always been a completely logical and straightforward person; she never tolerated nonsense. for these reasons, she's always kept her distance from luna lovegood, who seemed to always have her head in the clouds dreaming of wrackspurts and whatnot. but one day, at breakfast, she gets a letter from her parents who have found some old pictures of her and one of her past girlfriends holding hands and some love letters. they completely disown her, saying so in the letter. meredith flees breakfast to hide in the ravenclaw dormitory, where luna lovegood is reading a copy of the quibbler upside down. luna reaches out, and the two find themselves as unlikely friends... or maybe more.

NOTES
i prefer to give writers a free rein rather than set tons of rules, so i'll just say a few things i'd like to see

•develop meredith's feelings of dislike/indifference to luna into platonic like and then a romantic interest

•make luna very hard to read, especially in terms of her feelings toward meredith. meredith should be confused about if luna wants to be friends or more than friends

•since luna and meredith are in their seventh year, once they leave hogwarts, have them find a place and live together

•in the end, i'd love to see an epilogue where they're married and have kids

•i'd like to see 15 chapters at the very least
