SUMMARY

After her father's death, Genavié Launay was forced to move to England to live with her grandparents. She had to leave everything behind. Her friends, her house, and her school.

Now, going to Hogwarts, Genavié has to learn how to fit in. Being the new girl is worse than she thought it would be. Her English was mediocre and no one spoke French and didn't seem to care about it.

However, when she became Charms partners with Marlene McKinnon, someone started to care. Maybe that was worse, because now she knew what Genavié was saying.

NOTES
-this is basically the product of me learning how to speak French ( THANK YOU KIT ). Still not fluent, not even close, but I'm learning so here we are

-the summary sucks so feel free to change that

-most people just call Genavié Genevieve or Eve or Evie

-Genavié is from Beauxbatons Academy and her first language is French. She can speak English but she does prefer to speak French

-Marlene meets her and wants to learn French because Genavié prefers to speak French over English because it's easier for her

-Marlene is amazing

-nobody else at Hogwarts really speaks French. Lily speaks a little but no one else does ( Sirius had a fancy family but I doubt he would know French. Latin? Probably )

-her mother was from Hogwarts but moved to France where she mostly spoke French so Genavié only spoke what she learned from her mum and then her mum died a few years before her dad. The grandparents she's living with are on her mum's side of the family

-really cute and soft

-MARLENE MCKINNON DESERVES MORE LOVE

-Genavié finds it easy to be friends with Lily and Remus and eventually becomes friends with all of the Marauders
