SUMMARY

James Sirius Potter lived his life pranking and laughing with his best friend. Caleb Lucashinski was his brother in every way but blood. While James was happy to get the credit and popularity, Caleb preferred to stay in the shadows and watch. Neither cared about who was more popular, as long as they were together.

Unfortunately, Caleb couldn't see how much he meant to others. His own demons haunted him and he couldn't see anyone next to him. By the time James realized, it was too late.

Caleb was gone, and he never saw what happened after.

NOTES
-the POV will be James

-there is no love interest because that's not the purpose of this book. The plot is based on what happened a few days ago at my school. A guy in my grade committed suicide, and he couldn't see how heartbroken people were. After every class I saw people in the hallways crying. Teachers sobbing. Even if you didn't know him, you were sad and close to tears. He was the class clown and able to make people smile.

-Caleb wasn't as popular as James but he was loved by most in the school

-you can choose what year they're in

-it's during the school year that he commits

-there should be a few chapters before he commits in James POV

-you should do research on grief and remember that James and Caleb were best friends. Caleb was greatly loved in the Potter family

-James is different after the suicide. You can decide if you want James to find him or not and how he does it ( if you want to include this detail. ) James doesn't prank as much or get in as much trouble because he doesn't have Caleb with him
