"You—you ruined it all for me. You took it from me. Don't worry—I'll fix it, I will get her back. I will get my precious baby girl Myksi (MIX•E) back. I'll get you back too, I'll get you back on my side." the man thought aloud.

"Where are we going?" I ask.
"To my mother's house." Verlynn answers.
"Why are we coming along then?" I question.
"I don't know, I'm coming along because you're coming along." Relvin says.
"Because I don't want to go alone, that's weird." Verlynn replies.
"But we've been walking for hours." he complains.
"I know right." I say, putting my head on his shoulder.
  "We're almost there." Verlynn says.
"Anddd we're here!" Verlynn tells us.
"You're not allowed to collapse on the driveway, Relvin." I say, predicting his next move.
"How come Markus gets to do so?" Relvin asks as Markus was getting ready to collapse.
"Markus if you collapse on the driveway I will personally make sure you never sleep again, are we clear?" I threaten. He gets back up groaning and moaning.
We walk up to the front door and Verlynn opens the door. Her house looked so nice, but if I were to ask her she would say it's not as nice as mine. Verlynn tells us to wait and that she needs to talk to her mother first. We wait outside as she walks in and closes the door slightly.
"Do you think....?" Relvin asks, trailing off.
"No, there's no way she could suspect that from just a few gestures. Geez Relvin, why are you always so paranoid, chill out." I say.
"Are you sure?" he asks, paranoid.
  "I'm sure." I assure him.
*****Verlynn
"Hey mom, I brought some friends over is that ok?" I ask.
"Sure." Mom responds. I turn around and notice Everest peeking through the door.
  "What?" I ask.
"You're friends with Yavara?!" Everest exclaims.
  "Yeah....so?" I ask again.
"She's the STRONGEST fighter in the whole district!" Everest exclaims excitedly.
"Yeah, I know." I respond. Everest's eyes go big.
"Is that Relvin! Relvin is the strongest boy fighter in the district and you're friends with him?!" Everest asks.
"Mhmm..." I answer. Everest's eyes go even bigger. I didn't think they could get any bigger than that. Almost everyone turns around and looks at me.
  "I don't get it." I state.
"She doesn't know! How do you not know?!" Azure asks excitedly.
"Know what?" I question, completely confused.
"Come here! I have something to tell you." Azure says, getting out of her seat and pulling me by the arm out of the kitchen.
"Didn't you hear? Rumor has it that Yavara Cyvaira and Relvin Cypton are dating!" Azure whispers. My jaw drops all the way to the floor. Dating?
"No no no, it's just a rumor, they're just friends." I reason.
"Think about it, Verlynn. While you've been friends with Yavara and Relvin, haven't you ever seen any romantic behavior?" Azure questions. I instantly remember when Yavara only allowed Relvin in her bedroom at first and not me. Then, I remember when Yavara's mother bought strawberries and Yavara shared hers with Relvin. Next came how Yavara allowed Relvin to pick her up and sit where she was sitting, then put her in his lap. Finally, I remember when just like five minutes ago, Yavara rested her head on Relvin's shoulder. Those actions do seem like actions a couple would actually do. Hmm, when I tried to confront Yavara and Relvin, Yavara said there was another secret and that's not it. She said it was a secret between both of them.
"Yeah, actually." I say.
"Like what."
"I remember when they shared a bowl of strawberries, when she sat in his lap, when she allowed him in her room before allowing me to come in, and when she rested her head on his shoulder on the way here." I recall.
"Don't those actions seem like things couples'll do to each other?" Azure asks, getting to her point.
"Yeah, they do. So they might actually be dating..." I agree.
"They don't look like it though. They just look like close friends." I add. Azure and I peek behind the wall to see Yavara getting a piece of gum from her gum packet and tearing the piece of gum in half and giving it to Relvin.
"I mean, I don't know about you, but all those things you said hint towards them being a couple. Might wanna keep watch on them to see if it's true." Azure says. I nod at her and we walk back into the kitchen.
"Verlynn, your friends are probably cold out there, you should let them in." Mom says.
"Yeah, I know." I respond, motioning them to come in.
"Someone, anyone, take the marker away from her." Relvin begs.
"I told you, I'm finished." Yavara responds.
"Anyways, hi auntie! I'm Yavara and this....creature is a Relvin. He's the dumbest of the dumb. Couldn't be more absent-minded. He's only $19.99 plus shipping and handling." Yavara says patting him on the head.
"I'm insulted. Why am I considered dumb?" he asks.
"Because you are." Yavara answers.
"Also, you drink too much." Yavara adds.
"I have never did that a day in my life." Relvin denies.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night." Yavara says.
"Oh right, and this dunce is Markus." Yavara adds, pointing to Markus.
****Aymara
As soon as Verlynn said there names, I knew Yavara is Avarra's child. She looks like a clone of her. The same hazel eyes, same cat eyes, same facial structure, same dark red hair only visible in the light. The only difference was that she was younger.
"Verlynn can we talk for a second?" I ask, pulling her along.
"What?" she asks.
"Who are they?" I question.
"What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean."
"They're friends."
"The truth."
"Fine. Well, Relvin isn't anything, but Yavara and Markus are auntie's children." Verlynn says.
"Which one?" I ask.
"Avarra. But there's like, three more. There's one more boy and two more girls." Verlynn informs me.
"Didn't I tell you not to go sneaking around? She's dangerous." I scold her.
"Doesn't seem dangerous to me." Verlynn shrugs.
"Well she is." I state.
"I mean, whatever happened back then she must really feel bad about because she fixed my hand. Then again, why does that matter, you're still probably gonna be mad at her. I'm just telling you that in case it matters." Verlynn states. She takes her hand out of her pocket and shows me.
"Go. It's getting late. I made you a promise that you can stay with her for the summer and I keep my promises." I say, pushing her along.
*****Yavara
I watch as Verlynn walks towards us. I heard some of the conversation. All I heard was the part where Verlynn told her mother that her hand was fixed and when her mother said my mother was dangerous. I turn around and dart off before Verlynn can even get out the door.
"Wait up!" Verlynn yells as she closes her front door. This only makes me run faster. I speed down the streets and don't stop running until I'm five minutes away from my house. Since I was running so fast, my eyes were watering. Relvin catches up to me and stops me.
"Yavara, what's wrong? What upset you?" he asks, stopping me from running any further.
"It's nothing, I'm just hungry, now can I go?" I question, pushing past him.
"Yavara........." that's the last word I hear Relvin say before I take off again, and I reach home in two minutes. I fix my hair and wipe the water from my eyes. I spit out my gum in a napkin I had in my pocket. I look at my hand and realize the lion is showing again. I can't walk into the house like this. I calm down and allow myself to breathe and notice Relvin catching up to me. I instantly open the door and walk into the house. Relvin follows me into the house too, and soon approached by Verlynn.
  "Hey guys." I say.
  "What's up?" Ravamara asks.
"Where've you been? I've been waiting to play you in KO7!" Raeve exclaims. Ravamara places Alton on the floor and he runs to me and wraps himself around my leg.
"Oh! How have you been?" I ask, picking him up. Alton giggles. I turn around to see Relvin panting and nearly dying on the floor.
"Do you need help?" I ask him.
"Why—why do you run so fast? What—what is bothering you. So. Much?" he asks between pants.
"I told you, I'm just hungry." I answer. Relvin, I love you as a friend but why are you so persistent? It's best you don't know. I think.
