"$&¥*%#, don't mistake yourself for one of those people, sweetie. You are no where near their level. You are much greater. You are in no way similar to them in terms of results, for you are much faster, stronger, more agile, more precise, smarter, and you have unknown abilities, but you are similar to them in one way: you are an experiment. That's not what I think of you as, I absolutely think of you as my daughter." the man said, looking the child in the eyes. The child nodded, she was told that many times. The question that still lingered in her mind came back to her: If I am not them, what am I?

*****

"What do you mean by that?" I ask.
"I mean, maybe she'll tell us eventually. Remember what Varvel said? He said it's killing her to hide it from us. She'll probably crack eventually, so let's just wait instead of diving straight into it." Ravamara states.
  "Absolutely true." I agree.
"Yavara, Varvel said you know your mom's secret. Can you tell us?" Relvin asks.
"No, I don't know which—oh that secret! Oh yeah, I most definitely can't." I respond, finally remembering what secret Varvel was referring to.
  "Why not?" Relvin questions.
"Because, she's protecting you all by doing this." I state.
"Great, so now you're in on this too?!" Markus exclaims.
"Wait, I bet we can beat mom if we all work together! Surely she can't be stronger than all of us! We could probably—" I cut Ravamara off.
"No you can't. Let me give you an idea on how strong mom is. Since you guys don't go to a fighting school, I can only use Relvin, Markus, and me to compare. Add all three of our strength together, then multiply that by 10 to find her max power, multiply by 6 to find half power (even though 5 is half power, we're gonna use 6 to show the difference between not trying and trying somewhat), and multiply by 3 to find her not-really-trying power. It'll be somewhat impossible to beat her." I tell them.
"Woah, that is strong." Allister states.
  "Yeah." I reply.
"So, we're gonna wait?" I ask. Everyone nods.
"Guys! Guys! I found this voice recording that's labeled 'Truth', do you think this is it?" Savara says, running into the kitchen elated.
"Wait, can I just say this first? Thank you," Verlynn says before anyone even responded, "Yavara, you can drop the act. I know you're Humaveran.". Everyone stops. Oh no...
"You too Relvin, you both can drop the act. I know it's true. I heard Yavara and Markus talking about it." Verlynn adds.
"Oh, oh that! No it was something else, not that. Relvin isn't Humaveran. Nor am I. I think you've got it all wrong. Don't you think if I was Humaveran I would've k.o-ed people I fought with one hit?" I ask.
"That doesn't debunk the theory that your whole family could be Humaveran." Verlynn snaps.
"Are you crazy? There's no way all of us could be Humaverans even if my mom's father is the creator of them. That's just plain stupid." I lie.
"No it isn't. Don't lie. I know your mom is probably Humaveran too." Verlynn comments. Mom appears behind her and breaks out in laughter.
"You couldn't be further from the truth. I am something much much greater." Mom says, grabbing a root beers out of the fridge and also grabbing ice cream out of the freezer. Mom scoops herself a huge bowl of ice scream and pours three cans of root beer on top of it, gets herself some sprinkles and pours it on them, and tops it off with whipped cream and a cherry.
"That looks really fattening." Ravamara states.
"Good it's not for you then, you're already fat enough." Mom says while squirting whipped cream in her mouth.
  "HEY!!!" Ravamara exclaims.
"You had that coming." Verlynn says.
"If you're not Humaveran, then what are you hiding?" Verlynn asks. Mom stops.
"It's none of your business." Mom answers. Mom walks out of the kitchen and upstairs towards her room.
"I'm getting sick of this, when will she drop the act?" Relvin says.
"Give me a second..." Ravamara said. Ravamara runs to mom and dad's bedroom and eavesdrops on them through the door.
****Ravamara
"Have you told them yet?" Dad asks.
  "Tell them what?" Mom asks.
"You know—that you're not human." Dad says a little quieter. Dad's in on this too? I think. Then, I realize what he said. Mom's not human!
There's no talking for a while.
"No. I don't plan to ever, either." Mom says.
"They're gonna find out though." Dad states.
"I'd rather have them find out than tell them on their own." Mom responds.
"The longer you keep this from them, the more mad they're gonna be." Dad reasons.
"I don't care, I'm doing this to protect them." Mom reasons against him.
"Protect the, from what? From what they really are?" Dad asks.
"Come on sweetie, look me in the eye and tell me that you can trust the fact that two 5 year-olds running around with a secret that can change the world as you know it, or at least the country, and could get all of us killed." Mom reasons.
  "True point." Dad agrees.
"It's gonna be even worse because it's not like I'm Humaveran either. No where close to that, but way more." Mom adds.
"Why can't you just drop the act?" Dad asks.
  "Absolutely not." Mom disagrees,
"Then why didn't you just tell them since they were born." Dad questions.
"Don't you remember, I couldn't of told them then if I wanted to. I found out when Yavara was 2 years and I thought he was lying. By the time Yavara was 6, that's when I found out I wasn't even Humaveran but something really different and unknown...." Mom tells him.
Different and unknown? So mom isn't Humaveran nor human. I remember, we learned about this....what were they called? Wait a minute, I remember they were said to be extinct! So...how is mom neither? I think. This is all I need to hear. I quietly sneak away and run to the kitchen.
"Where'd you go? You went to go eavesdrop? What did you hear?" Verlynn asks eagerly.
"I was wrong, mom's not Humaveran," I say. Verlynn frowns.
"but she's not human too. She's something more powerful than a Humaveran." I add.
  "WHAT?!" Everyone exclaims.
"Yavara, do you remember the word for what they call people who aren't humans or Humaverans?" I ask.
"Yeah, they're called The Angelikans." Yavara says.
"Then that's what mom is, that's probably what we are too. Mom is apart of the first Angelikans. The people who failed to become Humaveran but turned into something else." I say. So this was it. I think. This was the answer we've all been waiting for.
