"Listen, beautiful, I love you, but there is one thing you absolutely must not do. You probably won't understand it now, but when or if you do, please don't do it. Listen, precious, you're them. You're all of them. But do not be all of them. Do not, not even for a second." the mother instructed. The little girl nods.

"Okay, mommy, I won't. I promise." the little girl responded, hugging her mother.

Stop hiding and reveal yourself. Show everyone who you really are. What you can do. Are you scared? Oh wait, I forgot, experiments don't have emotions.

"And it was so funny and Yavara is so cute she's the best I'm fangirling over her yes she's so cute and the rainbows were blue and red." Relvin says.

  "Wait what?" I ask.

"What? We were just talking about how amazing rainbows are." Relvin states.

  "Oh really?" I ask again.

"No. I knew you weren't paying attention." Relvin answers.

"I just got distracted for only, like, a second." I say defensively.

"Oh....dIsTrAcTeD? More like fantasizing about how handsome I am!' Relvin responds. I throw a pillow at him.

"No, you're completely wrong. I'm kind of more interested in Marbles." I reply.

"Ouch. That really hurts. She's more interested in a stuffed animal than me." Relvin states.

"Ha, just kidding, you're okay, what're we talking about again?" I question.

"We were talking about how funny it was when THE TOURNAMENT STARTS IN FIVE MINUTES!" Verlynn screams.

"We need to go!" I exclaim. I quickly grab my stuff and dash out Relvin's dorm room.

I'm walking down the hallway, heading towards the gym to watch the competition when someone flies past me. She brushes my shoulder, causing me to drop my phone. Then, she catches it just before it lands on the floor.

"I'm so sorry. I'm really in a rush and have to go so see you later, bye!" she explains and speeds off.

"GO, GO, GO!" a boy shouts with him and his friend flying past me. What is going on. Maybe they're late for the competition? I don't know. What I do know is that I need to catch up with Analynn before the place gets too crowded and I can't find her.

  ****Yavara

"Alright, folks! Welcome to the round seven of eight in this epic competition! This is one of the most important rounds in the whole competition! This round decides who makes it to the top four and who are finalists are since this is a combined round! The rules for this round are the same, so are most of the rules for deciding the finalists. The only rule that changes for the second half is that now the countdown is shortened to 5 since our participates'll most likely be exhausted. The participants will also, at the end of the first half, be offered drinks that numb the pain they'll probably have from the fight.  Alright, can we have Yavara Cyvaira and Morri Muns come up to the ring!" the referee announced. Morri walks up into the ring a little too confident. Did he not see what happened to Amorae? We shake hands and the match begins. I immediately straight kick him and my kick hits his ears. He topples over in the other direction and doesn't get up in time. I win the fight. I'm surprised he didn't get up, because I didn't hit him that hard. Well, that means I advance to the final four and I make the representing team. I've never been so happy.
After a fight, Maj's fight begins but ends quick due to a forfeit. Half of my dream is complete. Then, Relvin's fight begins. His opponent, Madrid, puts up quite a fight. He planter kicks Relvin twice, throws in a couple of punches, and straight kicks him. Relvin just punches his way through, not wanting to kick Madrid. While he's punching his way through, Relvin low kicks Madrid so he trips and falls, but, luckily, doesn't hit his head hard on the floor. Regardless, it's still enough to not make him get up, so Relvin wins and advances to the final four and represents our school with Maj and me. Verlynn's fight soon follows, but also ends quickly because her opponent nearly kicks her in the stomach, and it wasn't even made to look like an accident, it was straightforward. Luckily, Verlynn catches her foot just in time, which means Verlynn makes it to the top four and represents the school with us, so my dream finally comes true. How lucky we are to represent our school out of 496 other people who could've did it too. About thirty minutes pass, and then the second half starts.
"Alright, folks! The second half is beginning! May I please have Yavara Cyvaira and Verlynn Tohaz come to the ring!" the referee announces.
A whole bunch of "oohs" shot through the crowd. It pains me to fight her because she's sort of my friend, but.......well, I want to win the competition. I know Verlynn is strong. I had a hard time beating her the first time, maybe because I was weaker? I don't know. All I know is that it's going to be hard beating her. We change and enter the ring. We both shake hands like the referee instructed us to do.
"No hard feelings?" she asks. I smile, but don't respond, and return back to my side of the ring. Then, the fight starts. I have to let her strike first. I have to let her land her hits first. Just by analyzing Verlynn over the time we've been roommates and friends, I know exactly how to beat her. She hasn't seen me fight enough times to know my moves and how to prevent this and how to prevent that. Verlynn trains a lot in her room and leaves her door slightly open. I'm pretty sure I've seen all her moves by now. Just by analyzing her, I've managed to find out ways to counterattack with some of her moves, like her kicks. For example, to counterattack her straight kicks, I need to block it with my right arm. Verlynn dashes towards me, but by now she obviously knows that it's not the best idea to come running at me, so she intentionally passes me up and strikes a blow on my back. She strikes two more blows on my back and continues striking more blows.
"Wow, Yavara Cyvaira takes blow after blow from Verlynn Tohaz!" the referee announces. I smirk. Not for long. If only they knew what I was doing. I see Relvin in the crowd with a smirk, too. He knows what I'm doing. He also knows it's one of the easiest ways for Verlynn to go down without hurting her too much. I just hope this goes as planned, or else I'm doomed. Verlynn makes a dash for me and attempts to high kick me, but luckily, I dodge her kick. This is my chance. I stand next to her foot which is still in the air and then move back and charge at her. She attempts to read my next move and performs a straight kick in front of me, but I charge at her side and low kick her before I knee her in the back. I made sure to do it so it appeared that it was a light kick to the audience and made sure it wasn't hard enough to do serious damage to Verlynn. she falls to the ground, unable to get up. When she sprinted past me earlier, I made sure to sneak in a blow towards her stomach, but made sure it was the same as my kick—visibly and physically light and not hard enough to do serious damage, that's why she can't get up. Her stomach probably started to cramp a little because she was running around too much, add that to the pain of my punch and it'll probably ache quite a bit.
"1....2....3....4....5! And she's down! Yavara Cyvaira advances to the final round of Apermae Academy's fighting competition!" the referee announces. The crowd goes wild. Relvin smiles, then mouths me something.
"She's here and proud of you." he mouths. Wait...her? She's here! Salene is here and proud of me! I need to go see her! I quickly change and run towards Relvin. Salene (SAH-LEAN) stands up with her arms out wide, ready for a hug, and I nearly topple her over.
"SALENEY (SAH-LEAN-E) WEENIE!" I exclaim, elated.
"How're you Yavarawara (YAH•VARA•WAH•RAH)?" Salene asks.
"Good. Great. Amazing. Oh! You won't believe it! O ia o lo matou tausoga." I say. Salene cocks her head sideways.
"Her?" Salene asks again.
"Yeah." I answer. She looks at me as if to say "How? Since when?". I shrug. I'm just as confused about her being my cousin as she is.
"I'm getting a weird vibe off of her. Doesn't matter. Let's just enjoy ourselves while I'm here, okay Aulelei?" Salene questions. Aulelei is Salene's nickname for me. Just like Saleney Weenie is one of her nicknames. I find it kind of weird and funny that I made a nickname off of a nickname.
"Sure." I agree. We wait for Verlynn to come and we all go out to eat and walk around the district. The whole time, we don't tell Verlynn about Salene and just leave her knowing that Salene is one of our friends. Halfway during our little hang out, I realize that Armon and Olivia weren't there at the competition. Eh, oh well, maybe they had something to do? Who knows. All I know is we're gonna have a blast with her here. Now that I think about it, I feel awkward. It's probably going to be weird because I just beat Verlynn in a fight. Then again, I could really care less. I'm not gonna let her ruin the rest of my summer. I'm not gonna let her ruin my vacation.
