What is Mother?

  ".....and then a giant fox came!" the mother exclaimed. Fox ears appeared out of the mother's red hair and claws replaced her fingernails. The mother now had sharp teeth, much like a fox. The little girl screamed, elated. 

  "And the fox stopped the wolves!" the mother exclaimed again. The mother put her claws away and wrapped her arms around the little girl. All of a sudden, the little girl grew elf ears and a fox tail.

  "Aww, look at you! My cute little elf-eared fox." the mother said, tickling the little girl.

  "Remember story time?" Mavaro asks.

  "Oh yeah! Those stories were the best." I comment.

  "Hmp, what do you know about story time? You never stayed in a room with mother for more than five seconds." Sofiyah comments.

  "More than you do. Plus, I know way more about mother than you do." I reply.

  "Oh really? Name one thing about mother you know that I don't." Sofiyah demands.

  "Too easy. Obviously she must've never told you, but mother is h—mmm. I almost said something I shouldn't of." I say.

  Something she shouldn't say? What could that of been? Is it tied to the mysterious reason of why Avarra is so scared of mother? I'm interested in what she knows now. Then again, Avarra knows some pretty deep stuff, so maybe I should back off and stay in a child's place. Then again.....I love being able to blackmail someone until they snap. Then again, this is Avarra we're talking about. She knows us too well. Also, she's very careful to not let one of her secrets slip and only tells people she knows something about and knows'll probably take it to their grave. Maybe I can sniff it out of Rinold. No. She wouldn't trust him with such a dear secret. Well, I guess I'll just be left wondering what the secret is, why she can't tell me, and possibly, how good would it be to use for blackmail.
