Three months had passed since Gwen had been sent to Azkaban. It was now May. Everyone has been going downhill. Umbridge and her torture team have been more strict than ever. They don't even allow groups of more than three students to meet at once. All Hogsmeade trips and quidditch matches have been banned, and we aren't allowed to stop in the hallways anymore.
Hogwarts has not been fun since the day Umbridge sat in the Headmaster's chair. Eight students have been in hiding already. One is in hiding now. And that one is my brother, George Weasley.
Once Gwen banned him from the prison, Umbridge came after him. She was going to send him right back on charges of co-conspiriting to treason. It's all a bunch of rubbish if you ask me. A guy who just wanted to visit his girl is now hiding somewhere in the castle.
It has been made clear that we are not to look for him. We are not to mention that we know he is hiding. As far as Umbridge knows, he is in Azkaban. She sent him with Snape as a transport. Huge mistake.
I can't wait for this woman to be knocked on her arse. And I hope to be the one to do it. Or Gwen. I would let her do it in a heart beat.
Harry's visions have been getting worse. Almost every night he saw Sirius being tortured by Voldemort. I think he might try to do something incredibly stupid. And based on how the previous four years have worked out, letting him take the lead probably isn't the best idea.
At the moment I was sitting on my four poster, writing a letter. Wizengamont had gotten back to my father. They were going to set up a trial date! I was writing Gwen to tell her that she was getting out of there.
Just getting this trial was a victory against Umbridge. Since she has power in the Wizengamont, getting them to even read our letter was a victory.
The trial was set for the end of this month. All of us had been working as hard as we could to prepare a defense. Now that Madame Pince was watching our every move in that library, it was hard to get the research. Hermione had been using Harry's invisibility cloak to sneak in the library after hours to get information.
But, we also had to serve a month of detention with Umbridge. The cuts from her special quill were just now scarring. I'm sure we could use this to convince Wizengamont that this woman should not be trusted.
Once I finished the letter, I walked over to Hermione's bed. She was writing up Gwen's defense, since we would be doing it ourselves.
"Add 'Gwen was sent to Azkaban by a woman who uses a blood quill as detention for her students.'" I said.
Hermione scribbled that onto her parchment. "Thanks," she said.
"Should we be writing up defenses for George to?" I asked. "I mean, he is supposed to be in Azkaban right now."
"No offense to your brother, but I'm not worried about him at the moment." Hermione sounded as exhausted as I felt. "He is in hiding. He's okay."
"Yeah, you're right," I said. "I'm sorry. What do you have so far?"
"Not much. I have what you told me, as well as accounts from almost all of the professors on the day Gwen was under the Imperius Curse. I have accounts from her friends as well. I also have the accounts from Professor McGonagall, Madame Pomfrey, and myself about the day Gwen was under the Crutatious Curse."
"Not much Hermione?! That's what could win us the case! That could get her out!"
"So, how did your mission go?"
