"Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second."
-Marc Ribound
There are often moments in life that are far from fleeting— snapshots of happiness, sadness, and everything in between, nestling into and making home within our minds. These moments are all too familiar. When created, they come to define pieces of who we are. They can be attached to places, to feelings, to music, to people. Especially regarding the people we connect with, the musing can become more than life itself as a person extends far beyond just that image. They are the places you associate with them, the sights and the smells. They are the adventures, the sound of their laughter. Most importantly, they are the way they make you feel, the effect they truly have on you. Whether this effect is good or bad is left to how you expose these memories to your current situation. Saturated or unsaturated. High contrast or low contrast. Bright or dark. Vivid or dull.
Will you choose to delete the polaroids of life's moments (the good or the bad)? Will you decide to hold onto them, to put them in a mental scrapbook as essential parts of your story? Will you ignore the bad, burn them up along with the feelings that they ignite? Or will you utilize their power to change yourself for the better?
Everyone has a story. It's the way they tell it that makes all the difference.
"Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera."

You are the twin sister of Jungkook, and Jimin is your older brother. You and Jungkook were the children of family friends of the Parks. Your parents tragically passed away in a car accident when you and Jungkook were babies. Your godparents, Jimin's parents, took you both in as their own. Although you don't have memories of the accident, the loss has greatly affected you even into your adolescence.
You are in your first year of high school, and you want things to change. For years, Jimin has been lecturing you on boys and staying safe, protecting you at all costs. You know he means well, but you're tired of being constantly protected, controlled, and patrolled. You're old enough to make decisions for yourself. So, when your brother's "player" best friend, Taehyung, starts to show an interest in you during photography class, you kind of let things take their course, somewhat in spite of your brother Jimin but also partially because you had always dreamed something like it might come true.
A story told through the lens of a young adult struggling their way through adolescence. Digging up old traumas and learning how to cope (even if the means aren't the most healthy). Falling hopelessly in love and relinquishing your entire being into another person. You are ignorant of the caustic effects of love. However, you'll come to find it's life-changing benefits.
