You were walking beside Taehyung, your hands just barely inches apart. You were contemplating "accidentally" brushes yours against his when he spoke up, pulling you away from your compulsive thoughts.
"So, I was thinking that maybe we'd do the water shot first. That way, you'll have enough time to dry off for the rest," he commented, almost probing your thoughts on the issue. You had decided that today, instead of being bratty and stubborn, that you would be more go with the flow. You wanted to know what ideas he would explore without your constant protests. You wanted a little peek into his mind, to let his unbounded imagination run free.
Your day at school had been shit, both Jimin and your best friend still ignoring you. They were still angry at you for unknown and ridiculous reasons. At least you had Taehyung to keep you afloat. You didn't know where you'd be if you didn't have him in this trying time. Although he was part of the cause of the issues, he wasn't the sole reason. You knew that they were bound to come up regardless. You were so glad that he was with you. You honestly just felt lucky to have him in your life, in whatever capacity.
"Yeah, that works. Plus it's pretty hot out. I'm ready to take a dip," you chimed, interlocking your fingers, stretching your arms above your head and behind your back. He looked at you, a smile on his face. He has his camera in hand, with its waterproof accessories and genuinely looked so excited about the shoot. His excitement was rubbing off on you. You were so happy that he was feeling better, or at least he seemed to be. Even if it was an illusion, something about it seemed partially genuine, like there was no way he could be faking it.
You two had finally reached the community pool, which was centered in the middle of the park. It was actually fairly quiet, only a few other people there. You figured that was mostly because fall was quickly approaching and the pool would only be open for a few more weeks if that.
You walked in a comfortable silence to the water's edge. You put down your bag on a pool chair nearby and threw off your coverup.
You hadn't noticed Taehyung also throw off his top, the camera now around his neck, revealing his bare chest. Your eyes widened slightly as you turned to him, but you quickly regained your composure. You weren't sure why you were so surprised. Obviously, if you both were getting in the water, he wasn't going to keep his shirt on. You had gone to this exact pool many times with him and your brothers. It wasn't the first time you had seen him shirtless. But it was the first time you had seen him shirtless like this. You fought so hard to hide the pinkening of your cheeks, hoping he would perhaps just attest it to sun exposure or anything else, really.
"Ready?" he chirped. You nodded.
All of a sudden, Taehyung was running toward the water and with one nimble jump, was plummeting toward its surface. The cannonball had caused a big splash, which had gotten all over you. You shrieked playfully.
"Ah! You got water all over me! You need to be more careful next time, especially since you're carrying your camera-"
"Just shut up and get in," he quickly cut off your scolding with his laughy response. You smiled smugly before shrugging your shoulders and bringing yourself to the water's edge. You dipped your toe in, realizing that it was a little chilly. You still lowered yourself to the edge, sitting down, and your legs submerged in the water up to your knees. You were startled to hear the camera shutter and looked almost immediately toward Taehyung, who had his camera up to his eye and was already taking pictures of you.
"Gah!! What are you doing, I'm not ready or anything!" You protested, the idea of a personal photo shoot still not settling right in your mind. You liked taking the pictures, not being at the center of them.
