"Thank you. I'm sorry that things had to end up this way, but I'm glad I can start making the points back up." You were grateful to your photography teacher for letting you piggyback into another group. Taehyung hadn't shown up to class for weeks now, and it had been very hard to do partner work without a partner.

"I actually have no choice now. It seems that your partner has dropped out of this class. You'll have a chance to redo the projects from before. It's a shame though," your teacher remarked, tapping his pen against the desk.

"What do you mean?"

"It really isn't my place to say something like this, but you two were really good together. Especially artistically... But it seems that things don't always work out for the best. That's life."  His voice was solemn and contemplative.

You agreed. It really wasn't his place to say anything at all...

You couldn't believe that Taehyung had dropped the class. Would it really be that awful to see you? The thought of him thinking that poorly of you made you wanted to drop off the face of the earth.

"Yeah," you reluctantly agreed, looking around the room to the other groups to see who he would assign you with.

"You can join... uh... Mijung and Jina." He leaned in, cupping a hand on the side of his mouth. "They really need your help," he remarked frankly.

You didn't need the ego boost. You needed things to return to normal. You needed Taehyung to be okay. You needed him to stop giving up the things he cared about just because of you.

Nevertheless, you were glad that things could start getting back on track. Your photography grade couldn't keep slipping, not if you ever wanted to go to university. You walked away from the teacher's desk and made your way over to Mijung and Jina. You pulled a stool up to their table and took a seat.

You expected them to be unhappy to see you, but they each gave you warm, seemingly genuine smiles.

"Hey... um... I'm going to be joining your group for the rest of the year if that's okay with you guys," you stammered, the thought of talking to the unfamiliar girls not sitting well in your head.

"Of course, Y/N! You're so talented," Mijung replied, a huge smile on her face.

"Pfft- are you sure about that?" you joked, hoping that she would take it as that.

"Well, duh... We saw the showcase of you and Taehyung." After a few seconds of awkward silence, Jina continued. "They were really good pictures... maybe I shouldn't have brought that up considering... everything... uh... sorry," she rambled, unable to gauge your response. You simply stared forward at her, unphased. The memory of Taehyung used to hurt you on the inside, but you were now overwhelmingly numb.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it. Just a thing of the past," you remarked coldly, hoping that they could see past your bitterness and not take it personally.

"It's good that you both moved on, it's bad to let things like that ruin-" Mijung started before you interrupted.

"What do you mean both of us?" You knew you should've withheld the comment as you were supposed to be in a happy relationship with Hoseok, but your curiosity got the best of you.

"Do you... Do you not know?" Mijung asked, a puzzled expression on her face. You shook your head. She turned to Jina to whisper a bit before they returned to the conversation.

"Well, you're with Hoseok now, which on a side note, is absolutely adorable... Anyway, Taehyung is back to being himself. He's gone on some dates with some other senior. I'm not even sure who, but it probably won't be long until he dumps them after he gets what he wants," Jina asserted. You couldn't believe it.
