You did as questionably instructed

You did as questionably instructed.  It felt kind of foreign to be in the dress, although the one you put on was your favorite.  It had been so long since you hadn't been in one of two ensembles: either a heavy-fabric, yet sleek layered skirt suit or a worn-in graphic tee with sport shorts.

Although it had been a long time since you had been so dressed up, it still felt nice.  You liked the dress you were wearing; it happened to be the most flattering color on you.  It was dressy, but not showy.  You really thought it fit you and your personality well.  Overall, you knew picked well.

But still, you found yourself tugging at the bottom of it, lint-rolling it like crazy, even contemplating taking the iron to it while it was on your body.  Thankfully, you decided against it.  You weren't sure what it was about Taehyung (other than the fact that he was visual perfection) that made you so neurotic about your appearance.  Once again, you weren't normally like this, but for Taehyung everything was always different.

Once you finally finished freaking out about your dress, you moved to your vanity to finish up your makeup.  You did a little more than your everyday makeup, making sure that your mascara was perfect enough for your eyes to shine in the pictures, although it wouldn't hurt for them to shine in Taehyung's eyes as well.  You put on a nice nude lip and throw on some blush for added effect.  Only a little color on your cheeks though because you figured considering recent behavior, you'd be flushing them pink enough on your own.

Your Friday had been odd, to say the least.  You and Taehyung had walked to school alone.  Once again your brothers had ditched you.  However, you didn't mind this time because you mostly wanted to spend the time alone with Taehyung even if the most that came of your time together was just talk of alien conspiracy theories and Chet Baker.

You had found out that the boy had a wild taste in music.  A decades-old trumpet player and jazz vocalist had reached the top of his all-time favorites.  You laughed when he told you, not because you thought it was weird, but because it was him.  It was so him to be that outdated with his music taste and you thought it was perhaps one of the cutest things about him.  You also thought it was cute when he started singing some of Chet's songs to you that morning.

You didn't have the heart to tell him jazz wasn't really your thing.  But if you had to be honest with yourself, even if jazz wasn't your thing, if it made a smile light upon his face, it was your thing after all.

The walk home had been a little stranger.  Jimin was still missing but Jungkook decided to make a guest appearance.  Of course, you decided to call him out for ditching you.

"Um... when were you going to tell me that I'm not important in your life anymore?" you sassed, making Taehyung a little uncomfortable with your really snappy remark.  He soon remembered that this was just the way you and your twin operated when you weren't on the best of terms.  Snideness at its finest.
