It was crazy how much one person could have such an incredible impact on you. You wanted to attest the constant thoughts revolving around your boyfriend to be due to the infatuation or the hormones, but you knew it was so much more than that.
It felt like he took a place in your heart, a place that was only his.
So, you sure as hell did not feel whole any more. You craved for every moment where you could even get the slightest bit of his attention—every text, every call, everything. You knew you should not be so obsessed, but he was really your everything. You did not think life could be any less boring without him beside you.
The month before his departure was probably the best time you had spent together. Full of laughs, full of love—you savored every moment together as if it was the last. You knew very well that once he left that you would not be seeing that much of him. The company had big plans for him, plans that intensive training. He would need to give his all if he ever wanted to debut as an idol.
This is what you wanted for him—the success, the recognition. He deserved it all for how truly talented he was. But, watching him struggle through the long days, the countless hours of practice, the difficulties that neither of you had anticipated, it was so hard not to just hop on a bus or a train and go straight to him. That was really saying something about your love for him because the thought of that long of a trip on a moving vehicle did not even scare you. You could bear it all for him because he deserved your everything—just like he gave you his.
You wanted to hold his sore and worn-out body, clutching it tightly to your chest to remind you that his heart was still beating. To remind him that he was loved and that he would make it through this. That you were his biggest supporter, his #1 fan.
The best you could do with your current situation was stay up until his practice was over, or wake up at nearly dawn every day, just to catch him at moments where he could take a phone call from you. They would not be long as he just had way too much on his schedule for you to allow him to sacrifice so much sleep. But the calls were still meaningful. Ever since your little spat, the two of you had been so open with everything—never leaving a word unsaid.
