"You're really going to do it?" you asked Jungkook for clarification. He had just dropped some big news, and you couldn't help but be ecstatic for him. The smile on your face was bright and wide. You couldn't think of anything that would've wiped it away. It was one of the first genuine smiles that had graced your face in a long time. It felt nice to feel happy about something again. You were especially happy that Jungkook was the source of your good mood.

"Yes, I'm really going to audition. I think this will be good for me," he admitted, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck due to his overwhelming excitement and nervousness about the situation. It also wasn't quite like him to confess things like this to you, so you were grateful that he confided in you. You were so thankful to be so close to your twin. Not everyone had the best sibling relationships, but yours and Jungkook's was nearly perfect. Looking at his bright, wide smile that caused his cheeks to scrunch up and his eyes go close a bit, caused your smile to widen further.

"It will be good for you! There's no way that you won't get any offers. You're so talented," you gushed, unable to contain your excitement. You were practically jumping for joy now. He shyly looked away from your antics, the compliment obviously bringing out his humble side.

"Don't say that. I'm far from perfect. I'm just not going to let my hopes get too high," he commented, his smile still shining across his cheeks. He wouldn't admit it, but you knew he loved it when you talked about him. He knew you'd tell him straight and would never lie to him. When you gave him compliments, they were truly genuine. You knew he ate that shit up, and you loved it when he did. He had done so much for you over the past couple months and you would do whatever it took to repay him for his brotherly kindness. You'd support him wholly and encourage him to your greatest ability.

"You may not believe in yourself, which is a habit that needs to stop, but I will always believe in my Jungkook," you cooed, stretching your arm forward to pinch his cheek. He let you do it, then swatted your arm away while laughing at your childishness.

"Alright. I have to head out to go practice with Hoseok-hyung," he stopped to give you a wink after saying his friend's name. You rolled your eyes at him, laughing slightly before he continued. "Don't miss me too much," he added as he made his way past you, giving you a nice pat on the back.

You laughed for no reason really, just simply because you couldn't contain your happiness any longer.

As it turned out, Hoseok had informed Jungkook of an audition opportunity. Jungkook was going to audition to become an idol! You couldn't imagine an idol better than your twin brother. Hoseok would also be auditioning and offered to help Jungkook with dance practice. The audition was coming up very soon so they had a lot to prepare.

Things seemed to be picking up again. Perhaps life would turn back to normal soon. It was nice to feel the weight in your chest lifted, if only for a few moments.

The good feeling you were having wouldn't last long. After an hour or two of you basically just laying around in your room, your mother called you downstairs. Her voice did not sound happy. You wondered what you did wrong this time.

You reluctantly exited your room and made your way downstairs. Both your mother and father were sitting at the dining room table. They didn't look happy... They looked frustrated with furrowed brows and concern shone heavily through their eyes. You simply sighed and noted their expressions, knowing this probably wasn't going to be a pleasant conversation.

"Please have a seat," your father ordered, motioning to the chair beside him and across from your mother. You obliged and plopped down on the seat, your lips closed tightly together.
