You were used to Jimin crying.  That you could handle. But Taehyung was different.  This... this you weren't sure you could handle. Catching a glimpse of his eyes, tears dripping so effortlessly, his mouth slightly parted, just staring forward.  He looked so broken, so utterly different than the Taehyung you had known your entire life.

You remembered the first time he comforted you.

You were running around outside, simply being young and enjoying life. Your mother had set up a sprinkler for you kids to help combat the ever-increasing summer heat and humidity. Those had been your favorite kind of days. Days you got to spend with your brothers. Too bad this time Jimin had to invite HIM.

You were only 10 years old so boys still had cooties. At least that's what Jimin told you and you believed him because he was your big brother and you always believed him.

Taehyung came over and started playing water guns with Jimin as you and Jungkook ran around the sprinkler trying to catch each other. This was how things normally went back then- the older boys ignoring the two annoying younger siblings.

You didn't mind. Perhaps you had wanted to spend some more time with your big brother Jimin, but you were perfectly content playing with Jungkook. The two of you had always been so close that playing with him felt nothing but normal. Honestly, up until that point you were practically inseparable.

You leaned over the top of  the sprinkler, allowing the jets to hit all over you, even your face, laughing almost hysterically at your childish actions.

"Hey!" Jungkook pouted. "You're hogging all the water!!" He pushed you slightly on the shoulder  to get you to move, but you weren't budging. You were having way too much fun for it to stop.

"You need... to try this~" you spoke in between breathy laughs. You looked up to see Jungkook glaring at you.

"This is dumb, Y/N. I don't want to play with you anymore. I'm going to play with Jimin-hyung and Taehyung-hyung," he huffed, storming away.

You didn't care that he got mad at you. Jungkook didn't like it when you didn't share with him, but you often got your revenge this way. He was the king of not sharing, hiding toys in his room so you couldn't find them. It served him right for you to hog the sprinkler.

Once you finally had enough of the sprinkler practically drenching you with water, you stepped back, still laughing at the series of events. You looked over at the three boys playing and suddenly felt somewhat sad. They seemed to be having a lot of fun. You wanted to have fun too.  Maybe you shouldn't have been so mean to Jungkook...

You made your way over and asked if you could play. You were surprised by Jimin's response.

"No way, Y/N. It's too dangerous! There's no way a little girl like you can play with water guns, at least not while I'm supposed to be in charge," Jimin asserted, taking pride in his 12-year-old babysitter job.

You pouted and were just about to scream, tears welling in the corners of your eyes when Taehyung looked your way and spoke up.

"Just let her play Jimin. She's not that little anymore. She's practically your height now," Taehyung teased.  He paused to laugh, which caused Jimin to hit him pretty hard on the shoulder. Taehyung let out an 'ow' before continuing to vouch for you. "Not that I think she'll beat me, but it'll be a heck of a lot of fun watching her kick your butt!" Taehyung exclaimed excitedly.
