WORDS OF THE LIVING

(NATURAL PLACES)

Mountains must heave the load of earth
At each stone's eventful birth
Crashing down the walls of stone
Rolling to the beds of flower sown
The great earth's chaperone

The bluebells blossom
In escape of forest rich in autumn
Orange yellow
Crinkled leaves
Until a break in the meadow

Buttercups guide you
The daisies stride with you
Dandelion seeds glide past you
Butterflies rest on your arm
While birds fly
they too absorbing the glee and charm

Branches huddle
Around the clearing
Rabbit drinks from a puddle
It's big furry ears still hearing
But the creature, only for a second
Appearing
