The lips of death provide a centalising taste
Of passion, mould and and underlay disgrace
Chapped lips, sunken eyes
never to see the next sunrise
For their sun has set, the night's come in
Hell will have its day with himThat which dies is heaven sent
And every man must be crushed, repent
Their choices, everything they believe
Or become one of the shadows for they have been deceived
Galileo, planetary without purpose
Nightmares are sanitary without earnest
Arbitrary, partisan, merely a servant
All behaviour is taught, so where did we learn it
Heliocentric without a centripetal force
Groundhog Day, killed again and again in acid sportsKilled in their dreams
And numb in their lives
Every devil must wear a disguise
Hooded cloaks and choked up tears
Thoughts stabbing with endless fearAnxiety controlling
Depression rolling through
Like tanks, gunfire, battlegrounds,
every soldier a clone of you
With the barks of the baying hounds,
Has the nightmare won you too?Numb blind painless existence
Your friends out, a far off distance
Safe, the shore of the bay
And you're drowning
Drowning in the weight of it all
Fearing if you mess up even once, its over
Wishing to escape
But the shackles pull you under
Into another nightmare
Colder and colderAnd I, I,
Can't see what's coming before it's there
Are you awake or is this just another nightmare
Turn your back and the shadow stares
Death in the face, with empty sockets
Every man with guns in their pocketsBacking track drugs
Watch the masses jostle for a single beat
String em up on high
Then you can make a notation sheet
Use your G clef as a noose
And the words as an excuse
Jump from minim to quaver
And maybe a semibreve
Counting down the seconds
Savour
Until you're one of the bereaved
Living nightmare, dark matter courses through your veins
Soul dissolved until only pain remains
Breath leaves your lungs
Emancipation from freedom
Sounds of a gun
Let's hope you make it to Eden
