WORDS OF THE DEAD
(CANCER)
Fight through hell and make it back to earth.
Let me, like a soldier fall
Among the mounds of death and soil
The sounds of war
Come ashore
Until we pound on death's doorLet me, like a soldier fall
Beneath; the crashing, bashing waves
As my life, is set ablaze
The pain with come
I'll come undone
And like a soldier, I will fallLet me, like a soldier fall
Beneath the chains
Of those silky sheets
As my soul depletes
My locks are gone
Blood is drawn
But like a soldier, I will go onRid me of this cancer
Answer me
Will I, like a soldier fall?
Or shall someone answer my call?
For I am told that he knows all
Let me, like a soldier fight
To rid me of my parasiteLike a soldier, I will fall
But not for decades after all
