Mirror, mirror on the wall
Captures the shadows crawl
Perfect reflection
Silent signs of affection
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who is the greatest of them all?
Not those with bodies work of art
It's those with a golden heart
Perfection in reflection
Watching over you and I
Giving us light, gently retrieved
From the sky
Conceived
The mirror shows the wall
A shade of yellow
The reflection a masking shawl
Hiding the true fellow
The great impersonator
Hiding the real person in there
With feeling, thoughts and emotions
Hidden beneath reflected commotion
Of others they pretend to be
The great pretence, if only
they could see
Mirror, mirror on the wall
If only you could see
You are the greatest of them all
