The moment Aria had finished reading the script for the play, she promptly threw the book across the room... thrice. Not because of how terrible the writing was (don't get Aria wrong, the writing was God Awful) but because of the number of scenes her character shares with Zachery... played by that stupid, jock of a boy Jeremy. But oh that was just the start, for now not only did she have to act like she had feelings for this boy, she had to really put herself in this character's shoes and there's a possible kissing scene to boot and oh god...
Aria had found it all to be a nightmare but she just couldn't tell her family about it yet. No, not when she had been telling them all for months about how excited she was for this chance to be a main character of a play. If she started complaining, there would be no sympathy from any of her family members. They wouldn't care and if Aria was to think it worse, her sisters might start making fun of her having to act like she was in love with a stupid KEN DOLL because that was what all children of Harper looked like. Pretty Blonde barbie accessories.
The only thing that was keeping Aria at bay was the one scene where Susan has to slap Zachery clear across the face. This is what made Aria so stubbornly confident when she walked into rehearsal the next day. That and of course she had memorized half of her lines already and was pumped to prove to everyone that she was the most professional one there.
When Oswald had arrived for the rehearsal, he had different students with different partners, going over scenes that these groups needed to work on. Naturally this meant that Aria was paired with Jeremy. Aria took one look at the preppy blonde and turned to face away from him and look up sternly at Oswald, ready to hear our directions.
"We shall first start with getting to know our partners for the time you all will work with each other. Why don't we start with answering these five questions: "
1) What is your name?
2) What is your favorite color?
3) What is your favorite activity besides acting?
4) Cats or Dogs?
5) What are you most looking forward to in this play?
"Are we all ready to begin?" Oswald asked excitedly, as he looked around the room at all the usual expressions of bored interest except for Jeremy and Aria who both looked rather irritated.
"Let's start with number one. Introduce yourselves!"
"You're one of Harper's kids," Aria stated as a fact. Jeremy gave her a sideways look before scoffing.
"Yeah, and you're part of the satanic Emerson clan."
"For the record I'm not Elle's child. I'm her brother's child, Cody."
"Who? You all look the same, no use in trying to keep the two families apart." Now it was Aria's turn to shoot him a glare.
"Okay now let's go on to question number two! What is your favorite color?" Oswald said with flare. Both Aria and Jeremy looked up at their teacher pathetically before Jeremy started, muttering the color "Blue."
Aria scoffed causing Jeremy to look her way again, now agitated.
"What's wrong with the color blue?" Aria looked him deep in the eye and then shrugged.
"It's the color every white boy likes." Jeremy gave her a do-I-care reaction before hearing Aria mutter how she thought he would be more of a pastel blue kinda boy.
"Oh like you are less stereotypical? Let me guess, you're favorite color is black," Jeremy guessed, his eyes fully trained on Arias. She smirked in response before spiting out "Red". Jeremy chuckled darkly before muttering "same difference".
