"Oh I can't wait to see him perform! You know I've told my husband that Jeremy has always had a talent for the stage. And now look at him! Second lead to your cousin!" Harper gushed as she sat down right next to her daughter who was situated next to her own boyfriend. The pair of them were hoping to sit together alone but then Cici had to break the news to Ben about her mother refusing to ditch Jeremy's performance, they saw little chance in getting rid of her.

Cici turned to Ben and gave him a rolling eye look about her mother. Ben smiled slyly before wrapping his arm around Cici. The lights went down then, just as Oswald appeared on the stage in a violet jacket with plum colored slacks and a periwinkle bow tie. Cici thought he looked adorable. Ben questioned if the man was color blind. Harper was not paying attention. Instead she was more focused on opening up the hook to her bag where she kept her secret wine supply, attached to the bottom of her bag.

"Would the two of you like a drink? I brought glasses!" She whispered loudly so that those around her turned to glare her way. In her hand she held a two wine glass that clinked as she showed them.  Cic sighed and ignored her mother while Ben fought back answering in the positive. He watched Harper pour herself a hefty glass from her bag with an opened mouth look of awe.

Then Cici nudged him to look forward, perfect timing to see the oddly colored man leave the stage. The Lights on stage beamed and the curtains were pulled open.

Let the show begin.

Thunderous applause hit the recital hall the moment Lucy appeared in purple surrounded by the ballet 1 girls dressed up as tears. The adrenaline hit that accompanied the applause was in  Lucy's blood stream within moments, making her movements quick and light stepped. Her heart beat raced fast as she maneuvered around the little girls. With the adrenaline, also came the quickness of time spent. Lucy felt like she was only just off the stage when she would be prepping to go back on. When she was off stage, she spent the time drinking plenty of water, getting toweled off, and whispering quietly, away from Ms. Olive, about who she saw in the crowd, how her feet were now throbbing from her pointe shoes and so on.

She watched as Jade and Clary threw the baby across the stage. This time noticing that Jade was a little more carefree about where she threw the doll while Clary was smiling radiantly as she literally ran across stage to catch the doll punted off of Jade.

Alice as the Queen of Hearts was spectacular. She was in all red, first in just a simple red tutu, and then as the performance went on, so came more ridiculous pieces of costume to add on to her ensemble. Toward the end, Alice was covered top to bottom in red, with only the white chocker to distinguish herself from the red.

Bianca appeared as the cheesier cat, dancing gracefully across stage as she went from one side to the next. There was unrest at Lucy's house the night before the performance because supposedly Bianca's mother had decided to fly in from France to come watch. Sara refused to come, Elle and Rosie decided to stay backstage until everyone was seated and the curtains went down and Harper decided she was going to go party at her son's performance instead. While Drew was upset by this, even if she only played the small Alice role for the first two dances and then nothing else, everyone else was fine with this arrangement. Of course, until Ben sent his mother a text about Harper having a wine bag sewn into her purse and was drinking presently.
