Everyone has grown up and are leading their own lives. While our favorite character's from On Top are learning how to be adults, their children take the stage as the dancers of the generation, experiencing new things in life that the adults never go...
It was two weeks before the show. So close and yet so very far away when it came to looking at the amount of work left to cover for the play. Oswald was beside himself with stress and so when he stood in front of Aria and Jeremy who were once again angrily sitting turned away from one another when they were supposed to be working on their lines, Oswald lost it.
"You two are one of the main parts of the show. You're chemistry is everything and neither one of you is trying to work on it. Not even you, Aria!"
"Should have done a chemistry test then... maybe then you would have figured out that the part of Fredrick should go to someone a little more dedicated to the craft," Aria muttered, as she looked back to face Oswald who was now fanning himself with the script.
"What makes you think he would cut me out and not you? You're the one refusing to work on this scene. Very unprofessional if you ask me..." Jeremy concluded, turning back to face an agitated Aria.
"Well at least I haven't stormed out yet!" Aria replied quickly, turning to face Jeremy right in the face. Jeremy only smiled wickedly before repeating the word "Yet.."
"Oh that is quite enough. I will not have you waste anymore rehearsal time fighting each other. It will only damage the rest of our actors moral fiber!"
"Moral fiber?" Jeremy muttered, questioning once again why all theater nerds were so...
"Pompous..." Aria whispered under her breathe while shaking her head at the ground, almost as if judging Oswald herself.
"Where's the apple sauce? Bridget!" Oswald turned away from the fighting pair to a junior that quickly ran up to him with a metal bowl filled with apple sauce.
"Ah yes, very good. Now," he turned back to the pair and handed the bowl to Jeremy who smiled slyly over at Aria. "Aria get to the bed and act sick. Jeremy you will be announcing your love to her while spoon feeding her apple sauce that the audience at this point does not know is poisoned! It's supposed to be porridge laced with that deadly flower, Hemlock, so make it convincing!"
"You know, Mr. Oswald sir, I would love to work on this scene right now but as you can see Aria here, doesn't want to work on it with me." Oswald turned to Aria with a 'questionable glance making her stand up in frustration.
"I-I forgot my lines. I have yet to study this part of the play." While Oswald was a dunce for certain things, he was able to make out how this tale Aria told was indeed a lie.
"Aria my dear, you have the entire play memorized. I will hear nothing about this worrying over the lines. Now, you will do this scene now or I will just kick you out of the play. How does that sound?" He asked, watching as Aria went red and then became defensive.
"If you kick me out of the play then who will take my place? No one else has been learning the lines other than me!" Oswald smiled and then turned to the audience where the other actors were practicing with each other in their seats.
"Oh Miss Maggie! Have you been working on the lines for Susan as I've asked?" One of the cheerleaders that Aria had nicknamed Easy M, looked up from her phone and curtly nodded with a sparkling smile.
"Yeah of course!"
Oswald smiled and then turned back to Aria with a defiant "Well?"
